Mexican catering for Brasted events

Mexican catering in Brasted, from our truck or trailer

We slow-cook the fillings ahead and finish them on site, while the salsas and guacamole are made fresh. We warm the tortillas as each order goes out. It works well for weddings, day or evening and office lunches and team days, with tacos, a build-your-own taco bar and burrito bowls.

In Brasted, events range from courtyards to hired halls. Let us know where the truck or trailer can stop and about any narrow entrances. We turn up ready to serve, and tidy our own area afterwards.

For planners, venues and organisers

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Send us your venue’s requirements and we’ll follow them.

Mexican catering around Brasted

Brasted is about 3 miles west of Sevenoaks, in Greater London. For an event in Brasted, we can serve in gardens, fields, venues, car parks and courtyards with access. Brasted is one of 764 places in Greater London we cover. Our truck and trailer cover the area from Brasted to London (18 miles away).

When the service is at a church such as Church of St Martin, the food generally happens elsewhere, at a field, hall or garden with room for the truck. Guests arriving by train will find that Dunton Green station is about 3.1 miles away. The Kent Downs National Landscape is within about 6 miles of Brasted, with country venues and gardens that can suit a food truck. Some venues in protected landscapes have rules about vehicles and catering, so check with yours.

Here we cover the TN16 postcode area, so your event can be anywhere in it. Streets in the area include High Street, Station Road and Watermill Close, and an event on any of them can work if the truck or trailer can park nearby. If your venue is just outside Brasted, we also cover Sundridge (1 mile east), Brasted Chart (1 mile south), Chipstead (2 miles east), Chevening (2 miles north-east) and Bessels Green (2 miles east). Further out, we also cater in Orpington (7 miles north), New Cross (15 miles north-west), Thornton Heath (13 miles north-west), Croydon (11 miles north-west), East Dulwich (15 miles north-west) and Plumstead (15 miles north).

Other landmarks nearby include Sevenoaks Museum (3.8 miles east) and Tandridge Priory (3.8 miles south-west). Open spaces near Brasted include Betsom's Hill and Dryhill Nature Reserve.

  • Nearby, you’ll find The White Hart pub (within half a mile east)

Diets, allergies and planning

With a little notice, most diets are easy. Our advice:

  • Have a covered area ready in case of rain
  • Plan a vegan filling as well as a vegetarian one
  • Collect dietary needs when guests reply
  • Put guests with severe allergies in touch with us early

On the day, we arrive in good time to park up and get ready. Someone from the venue just needs to point us to the agreed spot.

Loaded nachos make a good sharing starter or as a late snack.

Brasted questions

Where would you park in Brasted?

It can be tricky, so tell us about parking bays, permits or a driveway. Some streets may need a parking suspension from the council, and all of Greater London is inside the ULEZ.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Martin?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

How much will it cost?

We do not publish set prices, because every event is different. Tell us your numbers and plans and we’ll send a quote for your event.

Can you cater in a back garden?

It depends on access. If the truck or trailer can’t reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Send us a picture and we’ll talk it through.

Where do you cater?

London and the South East: Greater London, Kent and Medway, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, including Brasted.

When do you arrive?

It depends on your event. Timings are agreed in advance so everything fits your schedule.

Do you need electricity?

Let us know what’s available on site, such as a supply from the venue near where we’ll park, and we’ll confirm the arrangements with your quote.

Do you have dairy-free options?

Yes. We offer dairy-free options, and we will tell you which dishes contain milk.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone has to serve all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

What’s on the menu

Tacos

Soft tortillas, warmed and filled, topped with salsa and fresh toppings. Fillings are agreed with you, such as carnitas, chicken tinga or spiced mushrooms.

Loaded nachos

Crisp tortilla chips loaded with toppings, salsa and guacamole, made for sharing.

What happens on the day

Your timings come first. If things run behind, tell us and we’ll adjust the start of service where we can. Around midsummer it stays light in Brasted until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so summer evening events are usually served in daylight. For winter events, when it’s dark by about 3:55pm, plan lighting where guests queue and eat.

  1. First, send us a few details about your event.
  2. You get a sample menu and a quote.
  3. We agree access, the serving spot, power and water.
  4. On the day we park up, set up and serve hot food to order.
  5. We pack down after service and leave the area tidy.

Before we arrive

  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
  • Tell us about narrow gates or low branches
  • Give us a contact for the day

How to get a price

Every quote is put together for your event. Give us your date and numbers, and we’ll confirm whether we’re available that day.

How we price Mexican catering

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, because of:

  • How many guests we’re serving
  • Serving staff
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • The menu you choose

Access, parking and the distance to your venue can affect the price, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. Your quote confirms the full price.

Details that help

To speed things up, tell us:

  • The date and time of the event
  • Your menu ideas
  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • What power and water the site has

Not sure what you need yet? That is fine: tell us about the occasion and the guests, and we will make suggestions. To start, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

Why choose Mexican catering in Brasted?

A barbecue often means a host tied to the grill. Book us and the cooking happens in our food truck or trailer, so you can enjoy your event. What’s on the menu makes a difference to the total, so tell us what you have in mind. We will suggest options to suit your budget.

Why book with us

  • Options for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests
  • A plan agreed before the day
  • Tacos, burritos and a drinks bar
  • We cover Brasted and the whole of Greater London

Take a look at our prices page and our guide to catering costs.

What we need at the venue

Many gardens, fields and venues can take a truck or trailer, but a few things matter:

  • Power and water, which we confirm with you for each booking
  • Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer
  • A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue

Brasted is in London, inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, which covers all of Greater London, and parking can be tight: tell us about parking bays, permits, a driveway or whether a parking suspension is needed.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise before booking.
