Mexican catering in Cheriton

Planning for every diet

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. We suggest:

  • Put guests with severe allergies in touch with us early
  • Let us know if a guest is coeliac
  • Confirm allergies by email before the event
  • Make sure the menu has a vegan option

We arrive early enough to set up calmly. Someone from the venue just needs to point us to the agreed spot.

A tray of loaded nachos works well to start or as a late snack.

How our Mexican catering works in Cheriton

Our truck and trailer service tends to suit around 50 to 400 guests. Larger festivals and smaller parties are looked at case by case, so tell us your numbers. Popular choices include quesadillas, a build-your-own taco bar and burrito bowls, and it is a good fit for company summer parties and wedding breakfasts and evening food.

Somewhere like Cheriton, a field or garden is often the setting. Gates, verges and soft ground are worth mentioning when you enquire. We arrive ready to serve, and clear our own area when service is finished.

Prices and what affects them

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Whether you need disposables
  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • How long we are needed on site
  • Serving staff

When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: serving hours, staff, disposables, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.

Getting an accurate quote

You do not need every detail fixed to get a quote, but it helps to know:

  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • What power and water the site has
  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • The address or venue name

Send us the date, your venue or SO24 postcode and guest numbers, along with any dietary needs, and you’ll get menu ideas and a price. Just send a quick message through our quote form.

Planning the serving area

Everything is served from our food truck or trailer, so where we park matters. Here’s what we look for:

  • Clear vehicle access: gate widths, height limits and the ground checked before the day
  • Hardstanding or firm, level ground to park on
  • A sensible distance from buildings and neighbours

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise before booking.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Some hosts like to do it themselves. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the serving.

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

Mexican catering or something else?

A drop-off platter is easy, but nobody remembers it. Hot food served from a truck feels like part of the event. There is no one-size-fits-all price for Mexican catering. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Contact us for a quote.

FAQs for Cheriton

How far is Cheriton from London?

Roughly 56 miles from the centre of London, and we cover it.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Michael?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

Can you cater for special diets?

We can. There are gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests. Allergen information is available for every dish.

Do you need electricity?

That depends on the set-up, so we confirm power and water arrangements with each booking. Tell us what’s available at your venue.

Do you give allergen information?

We plan allergen-aware menus, including for nut allergies, with allergen information for every dish. We plan carefully and keep options separate, though we cannot promise a dish is allergen-free. If a guest has a severe allergy, please talk to us before the event.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes, they’re part of the planning from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote.

How much space do you need?

Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer, and a route in it can fit through, and the venue’s agreement. We confirm power and water with you for each booking.

Do you have options for kids?

Yes, children are welcome. Let us know numbers and ages, and we will plan the menu with them in mind.

The process

On the day, we park the truck or trailer in the agreed spot and set up. We’re ready to serve at the agreed time, planned around your event. A December event in Cheriton will be in the dark from about 4:00pm, so choose a spot where guests can see what they’re ordering. In late June, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:25pm.

  1. Get in touch with the basics: when, where and how many.
  2. Expect a suggested menu and a quote.
  3. Closer to the day, we confirm timings and arrangements.
  4. We serve hot food from our food truck or trailer at the agreed time.
  5. We pack away when service is over.
