Mexican catering in Criddlestyle, served fresh

With mobile Mexican catering, we bring the kitchen with us: we park our food truck or trailer on site and serve hot food from it. You don’t need a kitchen at the venue. We serve loaded nachos, a build-your-own taco bar and tacos, and it’s a good fit for engagement celebrations and birthday parties.

In a small place like Criddlestyle, events are normally in a garden, a field or a nearby hall. Country lanes, long drives and gates are fine if we know about them, and firm ground matters, especially after rain. We serve from the hatch of our food truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan the service around your numbers.

Organising for someone else?

Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we’ll keep you updated on timings and set-up.

If you are booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we will explain how it works. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

How it works

We work to your timings. If speeches run late or the photos take longer, tell us and we’ll adjust the start of service where we can. A December event in Criddlestyle will be in the dark from about 4:05pm, so a well-lit spot for the queue makes a big difference. In late June, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:25pm.

  1. Start by telling us about your event.
  2. You get a sample menu and a quote.
  3. Access, the serving spot, power and water are agreed in advance.
  4. On the day we park up, set up and serve hot food to order.
  5. Once service ends, we clear away.

How to prepare

  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
  • Let us know who to talk to on the day
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers

Catering for every guest

Good planning keeps every guest safe and happy. Try these:

  • Ensure the menu has a vegan option
  • Confirm the venue is happy to have a catering vehicle
  • Confirm allergies by email before the event
  • Count children separately

If timings change on the day, tell us and we’ll adjust.

Loaded nachos make a good sharing starter.

How it compares

Next to a hog roast or a barbecue, tacos make vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests easier to cater for, thanks to separate fillings and toppings. The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, plus any add-ons and the location. We quote for each event individually.

Why us?

  • Fast service, even with a queue
  • Tacos, burritos and a drinks bar
  • Allergen information for everything we serve
  • Catering across Hampshire, including Criddlestyle

Before you choose a spot

The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We need:

  • Hardstanding or firm, level ground to park on
  • Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first
  • A spot away from buildings, windows and neighbours

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think before booking.

Criddlestyle: your questions answered

Can you bring a truck or trailer to venues in the New Forest National Park?

We do, where the venue allows a catering vehicle. Lanes can be narrow and ground soft, so tell us how we’d get in.

Will you travel to a small place like Criddlestyle?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Can you keep it mild?

We can keep it mild, and hotter salsas go on the side for guests who like heat.

How much does Mexican catering cost?

We don’t publish set prices, because every event is different. Tell us your numbers and plans and we will send a quote for your event.

Do you provide plates and napkins?

We confirm that with your quote. Let us know what the venue supplies.

Can you cater in a back garden?

That depends on access. If the truck or trailer cannot reach the garden, a drive or a spot nearby may work, with permission. Send us a photo and we will talk it through.

Can you serve in the rain?

We can keep serving from the truck or trailer in the rain, but your guests will want somewhere covered, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.

Can you do dairy-free food?

Yes. Dairy-free options are part of our menus, and we’ll tell you which dishes contain milk.
