Before you choose a spot

Access is the first thing to check for a truck or trailer. We need:

  • Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking
  • Agreement from the venue to bring a food truck or trailer on site
  • Clear vehicle access: gate widths, height limits and the ground checked before the day

If you are unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think before you book.

How the day works

Expect a friendly, organised team. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, get the serving area ready, and get on with serving. Around midsummer it stays light in Ducklington until about 9:30pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:10pm, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so winter events need lighting around the truck and the queue.

  1. Begin with the date, the place and the numbers.
  2. We come back with menu ideas and a quote.
  3. Nearer the date, we go over the final plan.
  4. We serve hot food from our food truck or trailer at the agreed time.
  5. We pack away when service is over.

Preparing for the day

  • Arrange somewhere covered for guests to eat
  • Measure any gates or arches on the way in
