Mexican catering in Great Coxwell, from our food truck or trailer

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance and kept hot on site, while the salsas and guacamole are made fresh. We warm the tortillas as each order goes out. On the menu are burritos, a build-your-own taco bar and fresh salsas and guacamole, and it suits birthday parties and summer garden parties.

Somewhere as small as Great Coxwell, a garden or field is often the venue. Country lanes, long drives and gates are fine if we know about them, and firm ground matters, especially after rain. You’ll know what’s included before booking: the menu, the service time and any extras you choose.

Step by step

On the day, we position the truck or trailer and get the serving area ready. We’re ready to serve at the agreed time, so everything runs to your schedule. Around midsummer it stays light in Great Coxwell until about 9:30pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:10pm, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. For winter events, when it is dark by about 4:00pm, plan lighting where guests queue and eat.

  1. Send us your date, numbers and venue.
  2. We plan a menu that covers every diet.
  3. We check the route in and where the truck or trailer will stand.
  4. Food is served from the hatch or a taco-bar table.
  5. After the last serving, we clear our area.

Before we arrive

  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
  • Tell us about narrow gates or low branches

Planning help

Should I do it myself?

Doing it yourself? Start with the quantities: see how many tacos per person. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label anything containing allergens.

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

For event organisers in Great Coxwell

For big numbers, we plan service to keep queues short, so everyone is served promptly. Let us know how long the break is.

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.

Planning for every diet

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Try these:

  • Flag anyone with coeliac disease
  • Ask the venue whether food trucks are allowed
  • Add a dietary question to your RSVP
  • Tell us what other food is being served

Food is served from the hatch, order by order, so everything goes out hot.

Loaded nachos make a good sharing starter.
