Mexican catering in Hythe End, served fresh

Our truck and trailer service tends to suit around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case, so tell us your numbers. We serve quesadillas, a build-your-own taco bar and fresh salsas and guacamole, and it suits markets and community events and weddings, day or evening.

In a rural place like Hythe End, access is the main thing to plan: gate widths, soft ground and the distance from the road all matter. Power and water may be limited, so we confirm the arrangements with you. Food and drinks can be booked together or separately, so one caterer can cover more of the day.

Comparing your options

Sit-down meals need a kitchen, tables and more staff. A food truck or trailer is its own kitchen, so we need a suitable spot, access and the venue’s permission, with power and water confirmed when you book. There is no one-size-fits-all price for Mexican catering. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Contact us for a quote.

Dietary needs and planning tips

Mixed diets are straightforward to plan for, because guests can choose what suits them. A few tips:

  • Confirm allergies by email before the event
  • Check that your venue allows outside caterers and vehicles
  • Have a covered area ready in case of rain
  • Put guests with severe allergies in touch with us early

For a taco bar, we lay the fillings, salsas and toppings out on a table, and guests build their own while we keep it topped up.

Quesadillas are a good choice for children and cautious eaters, because they’re simple.

Occasions we cater for in Hythe End

Every order goes out hot, rather than sitting out on a buffet table.

Our caterer checklist

For planners, venues and organisers

For big numbers, we plan service to keep queues short, so guests are looked after quickly. Tell us how long you have for food and drinks.

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We will provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.

Hythe End: your questions answered

Which station is closest to Hythe End?

Guests can use Wraysbury station, about 1 mile north of Hythe End.

How far is Hythe End from London?

Roughly 20 miles from the centre of London, and we cover it.

What do you need at the venue?

Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer, and a route in it can fit through, and the venue’s agreement. We confirm power and water with you for each booking.

How many guests can you serve?

It depends on the menu and how long service runs, but around 50 to 400 guests is the usual range. Tell us your numbers and we’ll advise.

How does your Mexican catering work?

We bring our food truck or trailer to your venue, cook to order and serve tacos, burritos and more from the hatch. You can also have a build-your-own taco bar.

What happens if it rains?

The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but guests need somewhere covered to eat and drink, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.

How soon do we need to book?

The sooner the better. Popular dates go first, so get in touch early.

Where do you cater?

London and South East England: Greater London, Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label anything containing allergens.

What we need at the venue

The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We look for:

  • Room for a serving table for the taco bar
  • A route in that’s wide and tall enough, with soft ground checked in advance
  • The venue’s or landowner’s permission for a catering vehicle

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think before booking.

The process

The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we’ll help you choose a spot with room for a queue. Rain does not normally stop us serving, though guests will want somewhere covered to stand or sit. A December event in Hythe End will be in the dark from about 3:55pm, so choose a spot where guests can see what they’re ordering. In late June, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:20pm.

  1. Share the date, the venue and how many are coming.
  2. Together we plan a menu around your guests’ diets.
  3. We confirm the way in and where we’ll park.
  4. Food is served from the hatch or a taco-bar table.
  5. After the last serving, we clear our area.

Getting ready for the day

  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
