Mexican catering for your event in Iden
Mexican street food makes mixed diets simple. We plan vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests, and we give allergen information for every dish. For family gatherings and christenings and company summer parties, we can serve burritos, loaded nachos and quesadillas.
Somewhere as small as Iden, a garden or field is often the venue. Country lanes, long drives and gates are fine if we know about them, and soft ground after rain is worth mentioning. Access, space and power are agreed with you beforehand, so there are no surprises on arrival.

How we price Mexican catering
Pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:
- The number of people
- Distance and access to the venue
- Staff for serving and the bar
- Plates, napkins and cutlery
Your choice of food and drinks affects the price, so tell us what you have in mind. Tell us your budget and we will suggest a menu.
What we need to know
We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what’s useful:
- Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
- Your date and when you want service to start
- A picture of where we’d park
- The address or venue name
Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, along with any dietary needs, and you’ll get menu ideas and a price. To get started, send us your details through our quote form.
Iden: venues, access and local tips
Iden is about 11 miles north-east of Hastings, in East Sussex. Your questions about Mexican catering in Iden
Can you cater a reception after a service at The Parish Church of All Saints?
Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.
Do you come out to small places like Iden?
Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.
Do you cover Iden?
Yes. We cover London and the South East, and Iden is within our area and the rest of East Sussex. For a quote, fill in our quote form.
How many guests can you cater for?
It depends on the event. Most bookings fall around 50 to 400 guests, but tell us your numbers and we will plan around them.
Who clears up?
We pack down and tidy our own area after service. Ask us if you’d like help with anything else.
How much does Mexican catering cost?
We quote for each event, depending on numbers, menu, venue and timings. Contact us for a quote.
What if the weather’s bad?
We can serve from the hatch in the rain. Plan cover for guests, such as a marquee or gazebo, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.
How many guests can you serve?
It depends on the menu and how long service runs, but our truck and trailer service typically suits around 50 to 400 guests. Tell us your numbers and we’ll advise.
Planning the serving area
If a space isn’t suitable, we’ll tell you, and help find another spot. What matters most:
- Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first
- A sensible distance from buildings and neighbours
- Space for guests to queue
Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

The process
Guests tend to gather around the truck, so we plan a spot with space for people to queue. We can serve in the rain, though guests will want somewhere covered to stand or sit. Planning an evening event in Iden? Sunset is around 8:45pm in late May, 9:15pm at midsummer and 7:00pm in late September. For anything running past sunset, think about lights near the hatch.
- You tell us the date, the venue, rough guest numbers and any dietary needs.
- We put together a menu around your guests and quote for it.
- Together we confirm where the truck or trailer will park, plus power and water.
- On the day we arrive, set up and serve hot food from our food truck or trailer.
- After service, we clear away and leave the spot tidy.
Getting ready for the day
- Arrange somewhere covered for guests to eat
- Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
- Find out what power and water are available

A closer look at the menu
Tacos
Street tacos are small, quick and full of flavour. We serve them with salsas and toppings, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests.
Salsas and guacamole
Every taco needs salsa and guacamole, and guests add as much as they like.
Can I do a taco night myself?
Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.
Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.
Perfect for your event in Iden
Food is cooked to order and served hot, rather than sitting out on a buffet table.
These are some of the occasions we serve:
- Engagement and anniversary parties
- Weddings and evening receptions
- Leaving dos and retirement parties
- Fairs and festivals
For a fête or sports day at a school such as St Michael's Church of England Primary School, hot food from a truck or trailer saves the volunteers from cooking.
