How our Mexican catering works in Leyton Grange

In a London neighbourhood like Leyton Grange, the first thing to plan for a food truck is parking and loading. Narrow streets, permit bays and yellow lines all affect where we can stop, so tell us about a driveway, a courtyard or whether a parking suspension is needed when you ask for a quote. All of Greater London, Leyton Grange included, is inside the ULEZ. Every guest is catered for, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan included, and we give allergen information for every dish.

What Mexican catering costs

Contact us for a quote, and the price is based on:

  • Distance and access to the venue
  • How many guests we’re serving
  • Food, drinks or both
  • Timings and hours

A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, as there’s no kitchen to hire. Contact us for a quote to compare.

What to tell us

  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • Your menu ideas
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • Where the event is

Most quotes start with a few simple details: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. Contact us for a quote: just fill in our quote form.

Leyton Grange: your questions answered

Is it possible to have you in Leyton Jubilee Park?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we will send what they need from us.

What’s the nearest station to Leyton Grange for guests?

Guests can use Leyton Midland Road station, about 0.6 miles north-east of Leyton Grange.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We clear our own area when service is finished. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.

How far ahead should we book?

The sooner the better. Popular dates go first, so it pays to ask early.

What is mobile Mexican catering?

Our truck or trailer is a mobile kitchen. We set up at your venue, serve hot food to order and pack down afterwards.

What about power on site?

That depends on the set-up, so we confirm power and water arrangements with each booking. Let us know whether there’s a supply near where we will park.

Can you serve in bad weather?

Rain does not stop service from the hatch. Have somewhere covered ready for guests.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes, they’re part of the planning from the start. Let us know how many vegetarian and vegan guests to expect, and we will keep their options separate.

Popular choices

Salsas and guacamole

Every taco needs salsa and guacamole, and guests add as much as they like.

Quesadillas

Quesadillas are simple and comforting.

Space, access and the venue

We’ll be honest if a space won’t work. The main points are:

  • Permission from the venue or landowner
  • A flat, firm spot where the truck or trailer can stand
  • Room for a serving table for the taco bar

London streets around Leyton Grange can be narrow and busy, and all of Greater London sits inside the ULEZ. Tell us about loading, permits and any parking suspension when you enquire.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise before booking.

Our caterer checklist

Diets, allergies and planning

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Put any allergies in writing for us
  • Give us separate numbers for children
  • Check that your venue allows outside caterers and vehicles
  • Collect dietary needs when guests reply

We have allergen information for every dish at the hatch.

Margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas can be added from our drinks bar.

Working with your venue

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can plan ahead.

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we’ll follow them.

Mexican catering or something else?

A barbecue often means a host tied to the grill. Book us and the cooking happens in our food truck or trailer. Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so it helps to tell us about your venue. Your quote confirms the full price.

Why us?

  • Allergen information for every dish
  • Book food, drinks or both
  • A menu agreed with you
  • Everything served fresh from the hatch

What happens on the day

Serving is quick: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so even a long queue moves. Afterwards we clear our area. Around midsummer it stays light in Leyton Grange until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. For winter events, when it is dark by about 3:50pm, plan lighting where guests queue and eat.

  1. Share the date, the venue and how many are coming.
  2. We plan a menu that covers every diet.
  3. We check the route in and where the truck or trailer will stand.
  4. Guests order at the hatch or build their own at the taco bar.
  5. After the last serving, we clear our area.

Before we arrive

  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Measure any gates or arches on the way in
  • Let us know the timings for the day
