Mexican catering in Little Portugal
Mexican catering for your event in Little Portugal
Serving from a truck or trailer keeps the mood easy-going. People wander up, order at the hatch and head off with hot food. On the menu are burrito bowls, quesadillas and burritos, and it’s a good fit for big birthday celebrations and summer garden parties.
In a London neighbourhood like Little Portugal, the first thing to plan for a food truck is parking and loading. Narrow streets and permit bays decide where we can stop, so let us know about off-street space, or whether the council will need to suspend a parking bay. Like all of Greater London, Little Portugal is inside the ULEZ. Every guest is catered for, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan included, with allergen information for everything we serve.

Little Portugal: your questions answered
Could you serve in Larkhall Park?
It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we will send what they need from us.
We are having a ceremony at St Stephen's Church: can you cater afterwards?
Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.
Is the food suitable for children?
Yes. Mild dishes, quesadillas and nachos can be part of the menu. Tell us how many children are coming.
Do you need power and water?
It depends on the event and the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Tell us what’s available at your venue.
When do you arrive?
That depends on your event and menu. Timings are agreed in advance to suit your day.
What guest numbers do you cater for?
It depends on the event. As a guide, it’s around 50 to 400 guests; tell us your numbers and we will plan around them.
Can we have a build-your-own taco bar?
Yes, a taco bar is one of the ways we serve. Tell us about your space and numbers and we will recommend how to serve.
Do you provide plates and napkins?
We confirm that with your quote. Let us know what the venue supplies and we’ll talk it through.
DIY taco night versus a caterer
You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

Working with your venue
Events in public spaces, like parks, normally need permission. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.
For larger events, we plan serving points around your timings, so everyone is served promptly. Let us know how long the break is.
Step by step
We take care of everything you’ve booked, from set-up to service, so you can spend time with your guests. Around midsummer it stays light in Little Portugal until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so summer evening events are typically served in daylight. For winter events, when it’s dark by about 3:55pm, plan lighting where guests queue and eat.
- Send us your date, numbers and venue.
- We plan a menu that covers every diet.
- We check the route in and where the truck or trailer will stand.
- Food is served from the hatch or a taco-bar table.
- We clear our serving area when everyone is fed.
Preparing for the day
- Give us your final numbers and diets
- Tell us when you want service to start
- Give us a contact for the day
