Planning an event in Longmoor?

Planners, venues and businesses

For big numbers, we plan service to keep queues short, so everyone is served promptly. Let us know how long the break is.

Events in public spaces, like parks, typically need permission. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

How our Mexican catering works in Longmoor

Food from a truck or trailer feels relaxed. Guests come up to the hatch, chat while they wait and take something hot back to their seats, which suits informal events. It works well for garden parties and retirement and leaving parties, with burrito bowls, burritos and quesadillas.

In a rural place like Longmoor, access is the main thing to plan: the gate, the ground and the route from the lane. We confirm power and water arrangements with you before the day. We cater for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests, with allergen information for everything we serve.

How the day works

When we arrive, we park the truck or trailer in the agreed spot and set up. Service starts at the time we’ve agreed, so everything runs to your schedule. Evenings in Longmoor stay light until about 9:20pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:05pm. For anything running past sunset, think about lights near the hatch.

  1. Share the date, the venue and how many are coming.
  2. Together we plan a menu around your guests’ diets.
  3. We check the route in and where the truck or trailer will stand.
  4. Guests order at the hatch or build their own at the taco bar.
  5. After the last serving, we clear our area.

Preparing for the day

  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely

Planning the serving area

If a space is not suitable, we’ll tell you, and suggest an alternative. What matters most:

  • Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first
  • A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue
  • Power and water, which we confirm with you for each booking

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise before you book.

About the menu

The taco bar keeps things sociable, and it makes mixed diets easy.

Why choose Mexican catering in Longmoor?

Sit-down meals need a kitchen, tables and more staff. A food truck or trailer is its own kitchen, and needs a suitable spot, safe access and the venue’s agreement. Extras, such as more dishes, extra drinks or a longer service, are quoted on request, so you can choose what you need.

How to compare caterers

How we price Mexican catering

Two events with the same number of guests can cost different amounts, depending on:

  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • How many guests we’re serving
  • The menu you choose
  • Staff for serving and the bar

A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, because it needs no venue kitchen. Contact us for a quote to compare.

What to tell us

To speed things up, tell us:

  • A picture of where we’d park
  • The date and rough timings
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • The venue or postcode

Still deciding on the menu? That is fine: give us the basics about your event, and we will suggest a menu. When you are ready, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone has to serve all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
