Mexican catering near Old Oak Common

Mexican catering in Old Oak Common, served fresh

A build-your-own taco bar is one of the most sociable ways to feed a crowd. Everyone builds their own tacos from what’s laid out, so each plate is exactly how they like it. It works well for festivals, fairs and markets and milestone birthdays, serving fresh salsas and guacamole, a build-your-own taco bar and burritos.

In a London neighbourhood like Old Oak Common, the first thing to plan for a food truck is parking and loading. Narrow streets and permit bays decide where we can stop, so let us know about off-street space, or whether the council will need to suspend a parking bay. Like all of Greater London, Old Oak Common is inside the ULEZ. Everything is prepared fresh for your event and served from our truck or trailer.

Where the truck can go in Old Oak Common

Access is the first thing to check for a truck or trailer. We look for:

  • Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking
  • Space for a taco-bar table if you’ve chosen one
  • A flat, firm spot where the truck or trailer can stand

FAQs for Old Oak Common

Could you serve our guests after a service at Church of Eritrean Orthodox Brent?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

Could you serve in Little Wormwood Scrubs?

Only if the landowner, often the council, allows it. Check with them, and we’ll provide what they ask for from us.

What is mobile Mexican catering?

We arrive with our own mobile kitchen. We set up at your venue, serve hot food to order and pack down afterwards.

Is the food made fresh?

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. Tortillas are warmed on site, and salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

What do you serve?

We agree a sample menu with each client. Fillings could include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga, beef birria and vegan options such as spiced mushrooms or black beans. Our sample menu has more ideas.

Can you serve in the rain?

The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but guests need somewhere covered to eat and drink, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.

Can you serve drinks as well?

Our drinks bar can be added to any booking, with margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. We’ll check the licensing with you before the day.

Do you do margaritas?

Yes, we do. The drinks bar can be added to food or booked on its own. We’ll check the licensing for alcohol with you.

Why choose Mexican catering in Old Oak Common?

Next to a hog roast or a barbecue, tacos make vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests easier to cater for, thanks to separate fillings and toppings. Extras, such as more dishes, extra drinks or a longer service, are quoted on request, so you choose what goes in.

Dietary needs and planning tips

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. Our advice:

  • Ask guests about diets and allergies with your invitations
  • Ask the venue whether food trucks are allowed
  • Mention any other caterers or courses
  • Give us separate numbers for children

Allergen information is on hand for every dish, so guests can check before they order.

Loaded nachos make a good sharing starter or as a late snack.

Organising for someone else?

Throwing a party at home? Send us a picture of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we’ll let you know if it is a good fit.

Organising a club, school or community event in Old Oak Common? Service from a truck or trailer is quick, even for a crowd, and the menu can suit most diets. Give us the details and we’ll suggest a plan.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the serving.
