Mexican catering for Sheet events

Mexican catering for your event in Sheet

With mobile Mexican catering, we bring the kitchen with us: we park our food truck or trailer on site and serve hot food from it. No kitchen is needed on site. At school fairs and fundraisers and family celebrations, we can serve tacos, burritos and loaded nachos and more.

For a rural spot like Sheet, fields and drives need a little planning: the gate, the ground and the route from the lane. Power and water may be limited, so we confirm the arrangements with you. Guests are served from our food truck or trailer, or from a serving table nearby, and we plan the service around your numbers.

For planners, venues and organisers

If you are booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we will explain how it works. We’re happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.

Planning an event for a club, school or charity in Sheet? Service from a truck or trailer is quick, even for a crowd, and the menu can suit most diets. Tell us about the event and we’ll suggest a menu.

Planning a food truck in Sheet

Sheet is about 1 mile north-east of Petersfield, in Hampshire. For an event in Sheet, we can serve in gardens, fields, venues, car parks and courtyards with access. We serve in 683 places in Hampshire. You can also see our page for Guildford, about 22 miles away.

Nearby historic houses include Uppark (4.5 miles south). If your event is at a historic house or estate, check its rules on outside caterers and vehicles early. If you are celebrating after a service at a church like Church of St Mary Magdalene, a truck or trailer parked at a hall or garden close by can serve the meal. The South Downs National Park is within about 2 miles of Sheet, with country venues and gardens that can suit a food truck. Some venues in protected landscapes have rules about vehicles and catering, so check with yours.

Wherever your event is in GU32 and GU31, we can bring the truck or trailer to your guests, from busy streets to quiet lanes. That could mean an event at a home with a drive on Mill Lane, Village Street and Farnham Road or the roads around them. If your venue is just outside Sheet, we also cover Petersfield (1 mile south-west), Steep (1 mile north-west), Steep Marsh (1 mile north-west), Stroud (2 miles west) and Oakshott (2 miles north-west). Within a short drive, we also cover Havant (11 miles south), Horndean (8 miles south-west), Alton (10 miles north), Waterlooville (10 miles south-west), Purbrook (11 miles south-west) and Bordon (7 miles north).

Nearby you’ll also find Petersfield Community Hospital (1.3 miles south-west) and Bear Museum (1.1 miles south-west). Not far away are Liss Riverside Railway Walk South and Wheatham Hill.

  • Nearby schools include Churcher's College (0.6 miles south-west) and The Petersfield School (1.4 miles south-west)
  • Pubs nearby include The Queens Head pub (within half a mile south)

How it works

When service finishes, we pack down and clear our own area. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. A December event in Sheet will be in the dark from about 4:00pm, so a well-lit spot for the queue makes a big difference. At midsummer, the light holds until around 9:20pm.

  1. Start by telling us about your event.
  2. You get a sample menu and a quote.
  3. Access, the serving spot, power and water are agreed in advance.
  4. On the day we park up, set up and serve hot food to order.
  5. We pack down after service and leave the area tidy.

How to prepare

  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day
  • Tell us what power and water the site has
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers

Planning help

Sheet: your questions answered

Could you serve our guests after a service at Church of St Mary Magdalene?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

Is Sheet close to London?

It’s about 49 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

How much space do you need?

Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer, and a route in it can fit through, plus the venue’s permission. Power and water arrangements are confirmed with each booking.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

We confirm that with your quote. Tell us whether your venue has crockery or you’d prefer disposables and we will talk it through.

Where do you cater?

London and South East England: Greater London, Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire, including Sheet.

When do you arrive?

We get there well before service to set up. Serving times are agreed with you in advance, along with pack-down.

How much does Mexican catering cost in Sheet?

We quote for each event, so the price fits what you want. Give us your date, numbers and menu ideas and we’ll reply with a quote.

What are your prices?

We quote for each event, depending on numbers, menu, venue and timings. For a price, tell us about it on our contact page.

Can I do a taco night myself?

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label anything containing allergens.

Popular choices

Build-your-own taco bar

The taco bar keeps things sociable, and it makes mixed diets easy, with every dish labelled.

Salsas and guacamole

The salsas and guacamole finish every plate, and guests add as much as they like.

Why choose Mexican catering in Sheet?

The truck or trailer becomes a focal point, and people drift over as soon as service starts.

If you are planning any of these, we can help:

  • Family gatherings and christenings
  • Office lunches and team days
  • Summer garden parties
  • Fundraisers and school events

For a fête or sports day at a school such as Sheet Primary School, hot food from a truck or trailer saves the volunteers from cooking.

What to look for in a quote

  • Allergen information for each dish
  • When final numbers are due
  • How many staff are serving, and for how long
  • Travel and parking costs

Our caterer checklist

Prices and what affects them

The price comes down to a few factors:

  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • Whether you need disposables
  • How many guests we are serving
  • Parking and the route in

The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, plus any add-ons and the location. We quote for each event individually.

What to tell us

These details help us quote quickly:

  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • Where the event is
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground

Every quote is put together for your event. Give us your date and numbers, and we’ll confirm whether we’re available that day.
