Mexican catering in South Park
Catering for every guest

- Let us know about any other food at the event
- Plan a vegan filling as well as a vegetarian one
- Plan somewhere covered for guests to eat if it rains
- Add a dietary question to your RSVP
If timings change on the day, tell us and we’ll adjust.
Add our Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, with licensing checked with you.
How our Mexican catering works in South Park
Serving from a truck or trailer keeps the mood easy-going. People wander up, order at the hatch and head off with hot food. At milestone birthdays and christenings and family parties, we will put together a menu of a build-your-own taco bar, burritos and quesadillas.
For a place the size of South Park, your own garden or drive is often the best venue: no venue to hire and no cooking for you. Tell us about access down the lane or drive. Your quote sets out what’s included: menu, timings and any add-ons.
DIY taco night or a caterer?
If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: see how many tacos per person. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label anything containing allergens.
Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.
The process
From set-up to service, we look after everything you’ve booked from us, so you can spend time with your guests. Around midsummer it stays light in South Park until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:55pm, so winter events need lighting around the truck and the queue.
- Get in touch with the basics: when, where and how many.
- Expect a suggested menu and a quote.
- Nearer the date, we go over the final plan.
- At the agreed time, service starts from the truck or trailer.
- When you are done, we pack away.
How to prepare
- Give us your final numbers and diets
- Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
- Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain

About the menu
Loaded nachos
Nachos are easy sharing food. We can plan a dairy-free version.
Tacos
Tacos are the classic street food of Mexico. We serve them with salsas and toppings.
How it compares
A plated meal needs a kitchen and a larger team. Our food truck or trailer brings its own kitchen, and needs a suitable spot, safe access and the venue’s agreement. Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, because it needs no venue kitchen. Contact us for a quote to compare.

South Park: your questions answered
Is it possible to have you in Castle Grounds?
It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we’ll send what they need from us.
Can you cater a reception after a service at St Luke's?
Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.
Can you cater for special diets?
Diets are planned in advance, with options kept separate, but we can’t promise a kitchen without traces of any allergen. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.
What guest numbers do you cater for?
Our service usually suits around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case.
How is the food prepared?
We cook to order in our food truck or trailer kitchen, or serve from a taco bar. Slow-cooked fillings are prepared in advance and kept hot on site.
What do you need at the venue?
Level, firm ground, access for the truck or trailer and the venue’s agreement. We confirm power and water when you book.
How far ahead should we book?
As soon as you have a date. Peak dates go quickly, so it pays to ask early.
Which areas do you serve?
London and the South East: Greater London, Kent and Medway, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
Space, access and the venue
Access is the first thing to check for a truck or trailer. We look for:
- Clear vehicle access: gate widths, height limits and the ground checked before the day
- Space for guests to queue
- A spot away from buildings, windows and neighbours
If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think before booking.
