How our Mexican catering works in Styants Bottom

With mobile Mexican catering, we bring the kitchen with us: we park our truck or trailer on site and serve hot food from it. No kitchen is needed on site. It suits engagement celebrations and leaving parties, with burritos, tacos and fresh salsas and guacamole.

In a rural place like Styants Bottom, access is the main thing to plan: gate widths, soft ground and the distance from the road all matter. Power and water may be limited, so we confirm the arrangements with you. We turn up ready to serve, and tidy our own area afterwards.

For event organisers in Styants Bottom

If you are planning an event on someone’s behalf, whether you’re a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we’re happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It saves passing messages back and forth.

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

Catering for every guest

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Check that your venue allows outside caterers and vehicles
  • Send allergy details to us in writing
  • Count children separately
  • Think about cover for guests in wet weather

We can still serve from the hatch if it rains, though guests need somewhere under cover to eat.

Ask about extra salsas and toppings for a bigger spread.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Ask us for a quote and compare.

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

Is Mexican catering right for your event?

A cold buffet is simple but tends to sit out for hours. Our food is served hot, one order at a time. Larger events can cost less per head, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

What affects the price in Styants Bottom

We quote for your event, and the price is based on:

  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • Food, drinks or both
  • How many guests we’re serving
  • Parking and the route in

Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, plus any add-ons and the location. We quote for each event individually.

What to tell us

You do not need every detail fixed to get a quote, but these help:

  • The venue or postcode
  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: the venue, the timings, food or drinks or both, and the access. When you are ready, send a quick message through our quote form.

Your questions about Mexican catering in Styants Bottom

Which station is closest to Styants Bottom?

Guests can use Kemsing station, about 1 mile north-west of Styants Bottom.

Is it possible to have you in Ivy Hatch Nature Reserve?

Only with permission from whoever runs the park, often the council. Ask them first, and we’ll help with the information they need from us.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes. Vegetarian and vegan fillings, such as spiced mushrooms or black beans, can be part of the menu.

How soon do we need to book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Even if it’s short notice, it is worth asking.

How much does Mexican catering cost?

There’s no fixed price list, as each event is different. Tell us your numbers and plans and we’ll send a quote for your event.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

Yes, and it helps to hear about allergies when you book. UK law requires caterers to provide information on 14 allergens, and we do that for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). Anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before the event.

Do you have gluten-free options?

Yes, with corn tortillas. Corn tortillas are naturally gluten-free, but some fillings, sauces and toppings may not be, so we check every dish and give allergen information.

What access do you need?

Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer, and a route in it can fit through, and the venue’s agreement. We confirm power and water with you for each booking.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
