Mexican catering for your event in The Stocks

We bring our truck or trailer to events in and around The Stocks: private gardens, venue grounds, courtyards and fields, as long as there’s safe access. It suits summer garden parties and milestone birthdays, with quesadillas, tacos and burritos.

Planning the serving area

The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We need:

  • Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer
  • A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue
  • A route in that is wide and tall enough, with soft ground checked in advance

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise.

On the menu in The Stocks

  • Burritos
  • Burrito bowls
  • Tacos
  • Loaded nachos
  • Build-your-own taco bar
  • Quesadillas

Diets, allergies and planning

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Ask guests about diets and allergies with your invitations
  • Plan a vegan filling as well as a vegetarian one
  • Plan somewhere covered for guests to eat if it rains
  • Let us know if a guest is coeliac

Rain doesn’t stop us serving from the truck or trailer, though guests need somewhere under cover to eat.

Burrito bowls suit guests who’d rather skip the tortilla.

How it works

Once service is over, we pack up and leave our area tidy. Set-up and pack-down times are agreed with you and the venue. Daylight in The Stocks runs to about 8:45pm in late May and 7:00pm in late September. Let us know if service will run after dark, and we will talk about lighting.

  1. First, send us a few details about your event.
  2. We suggest fillings and extras and send a quote.
  3. Access, the serving spot, power and water are agreed in advance.
  4. On the day we park up, set up and serve hot food to order.
  5. Once service ends, we clear away.

Why choose Mexican catering in The Stocks?

Sit-down meals need a kitchen, tables and more staff. Our food truck or trailer brings its own kitchen, and needs a suitable spot, safe access and the venue’s agreement. Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. The full price is confirmed in your quote.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Some hosts like to do it themselves. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the serving.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

What’s on the menu

Build-your-own taco bar

A taco bar is relaxed and sociable, and guests with different diets can choose what suits them.

Burritos and burrito bowls

A big flour tortilla wrapped round rice, beans, a filling and toppings, or the same served in a bowl.

The Stocks: your questions answered

It’s about 49 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

We’re having a ceremony at Parish Church of St John the Baptist: can you cater afterwards?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

How much space do you need?

Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer, and a route in it can fit through, plus the venue’s permission. Power and water arrangements are confirmed with each booking.

What can we choose from?

Every menu is agreed with you, with fillings such as carnitas, chicken tinga, beef birria or spiced mushrooms. The sample menu shows the options.

Do you cater in The Stocks?

Yes, we do. The Stocks is one of the places we cover. Tell us your date and we’ll check availability.

What are your prices?

Every event is quoted for individually, based on guest numbers, the menu, the venue and timings. For a price, use our quote form.

What guest numbers do you cater for?
