How our Mexican catering works in Upper Chute
Mobile Mexican catering means the kitchen comes to you: our truck or trailer parks at your venue and we serve hot food straight from the hatch. You don’t need a kitchen at the venue. It works well for markets and community events and engagement and anniversary parties, serving tacos, quesadillas and fresh salsas and guacamole.
Somewhere as small as Upper Chute, a garden or field is often the venue. Country lanes, long drives and gates are fine if we know about them, and firm ground matters, especially after rain. We cater for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests, with allergen information for everything we serve.
Planning the serving area
Before the day, we will agree where we park and serve. A good spot ticks these boxes:
- Agreement from the venue to bring a food truck or trailer on site
- A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue
- Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer
Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly before you book.

FAQs for Upper Chute
How far is Upper Chute from central London?
It’s about 65 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.
Do you cater in villages like Upper Chute?
Yes, small places are no problem, given access. Let us know about access and parking for the truck or trailer.
Do you do margaritas?
Yes, we run a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. Your venue or event may need the right licence for alcohol, so we will talk licensing through with you.
How many guests can you cater for?
It depends on the event. Most bookings fall around 50 to 400 guests, but tell us your numbers and we will plan around them.
Can you cater for special diets?
We plan carefully for diets and keep options separate, but we can’t promise a kitchen without traces of any allergen. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.
Are plates and napkins included?
That’s confirmed with each quote. Tell us whether your venue has crockery or you’d prefer disposables and we will talk it through.
Do you do a drinks bar?
Our drinks bar can be added to any booking, with margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. We will talk licensing through with you before the day.
Do you take everything away?
Our area is packed away and left tidy. Tell us the venue’s rules on waste and clearing up and we will talk it through.
Can I do a taco night myself?
For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.
You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Read our guide to taco bars.
Planners, venues and businesses
If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can check the date.
Events in public spaces, like parks, normally need permission. We will provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.
