About our Mexican bar hire in Bagmore

Serving alcohol at events needs a licence: either the venue’s premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice. We talk licensing through with you before the day. It works well for birthday parties and engagement celebrations, serving aguas frescas, horchata and Mexican beer.

Near Bagmore, a drinks bar suits gardens, barns and marquees, given access. We’ll check the licensing with you. We prepare everything fresh for your event and serve it straight from our food truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.

If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.

How it works

When service finishes, we pack down and clear our own area. Set-up and pack-down times are agreed with you and the venue. At midsummer, it’s light in Bagmore until about 9:25pm, so evening drinks can be served in daylight. By late September, sunset is about 7:10pm, and in December it is dark by about 4:00pm, so plan lighting around the bar.

  1. You tell us the date, venue, guest numbers and the drinks you have in mind.
  2. Together we check how alcohol will be licensed at your event.
  3. You get a suggested drinks menu and a quote.
  4. On the day we set up the bar and our bar staff serve your guests.
  5. After service, we clear the bar away.

Getting ready for the day

  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Measure any gates or arches on the way in
  • Ask the venue about power and water

Bagmore: your questions answered

We are having a ceremony at Church of St. Mary: can you cater afterwards?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

Which station should guests use for Bagmore?

Guests can use Alton station, about 4.9 miles south-east of Bagmore.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes. Vegetarian and vegan fillings, such as spiced mushrooms or black beans, can be part of the menu.

What access do you need?

Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer, and a route in it can fit through, and the venue’s agreement. Power and water arrangements are confirmed with each booking.

Is the food very hot?

That is your choice: we can keep it mild and put the hotter salsas on the side.

Do you have gluten-free options?

Yes, we offer gluten-free options, made with corn tortillas. Let us know about coeliac guests in advance so we can explain how we prepare their food. See are corn tortillas gluten-free?

Can you run a bar?

Yes. The drinks bar can be added to food or booked on its own. For alcohol, we will talk licensing through with you and your venue.

Can we have the bar on its own?

Of course. Our Mexican catering can be added too.

Can I do a taco night myself?

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.

Some hosts like to do it themselves. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

How we price Mexican bar hire

Pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:

  • What’s on the menu
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • How many guests we are serving

Larger events can cost less per head, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

Details that help

We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what’s useful:

  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • The address or venue name
  • What power and water the site has
  • Your date and when you want service to start

Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, plus any dietary needs, and we’ll reply with a menu suggestion and a quote. To get started, send a quick message through our quote form.
