Mexican bar hire near Firgo

Firgo: your questions answered

How far is Firgo from central London?

About 58 miles from central London, and we cover it.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Mary?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Do you bring staff to serve the drinks?

We bring bar staff.

How spicy is the food?

That’s your choice: we can keep the main dishes mild, with hotter salsas served separately. Read more about how spicy Mexican food is.

How long do you serve for?

It depends on your event. Timings are agreed in advance so everything fits your schedule.

Do you do drinks only?

You can. The bar can be booked on its own, or with our Mexican catering.

How big an event can you cater?

It depends on the menu and how long service runs, but our truck and trailer service usually suits around 50 to 400 guests. For anything outside that, ask us.

What do you need at the venue?

The main things are access and a level spot: a level spot to park, space for guests to queue and a little room for a serving table. If in doubt, send us a picture of the space and the way in.

About our Mexican bar hire in Firgo

Serving alcohol at events needs a licence: either the venue’s premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice. We will talk licensing through with you. It works well for licensed festivals and birthday parties, serving horchata, agua de jamaica and alcohol-free drinks.

Near Firgo, a drinks bar suits gardens, barns and marquees, given access. Licensing for alcohol is checked with you beforehand. You’ll know what’s included before you book: the menu, the service time and any extras you choose.

What Mexican bar hire costs

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Timings and hours
  • What the venue already provides
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Staff for serving and the bar

What’s on the menu makes a difference to the total, so share your ideas with us. We will suggest options to suit your budget.

Details that help

Here’s what makes a quick, accurate quote possible:

  • The date and rough timings
  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • A picture of the space, if it is a garden or field
  • Where the event is

Each quote is tailored to your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we will check availability at the same time.

For planners, venues and organisers

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

Hosting a party at home? Send a picture of the space and tell us about access, and we’ll tell you honestly whether a truck or trailer will fit.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.

Planning the bar

Some planning tips for the drinks:

  • Plan water alongside the bar
  • Ask your venue about its licence early
  • Give us numbers for children
  • Tell us when the bar should open and close

Bar staff serve for the agreed times.

Margaritas for the drinks reception.

Events we cater in Firgo

A themed bar adds a talking point, more than a standard bar.

We can help if you are planning any of the following:

  • Weddings, day or evening
  • Client events and launches
  • Work celebrations
  • Themed celebrations

Once the ceremony at a church like Church of St Mary is over, guests may be glad of a cold drink at the reception venue.

Horchata

Cinnamon-spiced rice drink.

Mexican beer

Cold Mexican lager with lime, ideal with tacos.

What happens on the day

We need a level, firm spot we can drive the truck or trailer onto, and we agree power and water arrangements before the day. A picture of the space helps. At midsummer, it is light in Firgo until about 9:25pm, so evening drinks can be served in daylight. By late September, sunset is about 7:10pm, and in December it is dark by about 4:00pm, so plan lighting around the bar.

  1. We check availability.
  2. You get a suggested drinks list.
  3. We agree where the bar goes.
  4. The bar opens at the agreed time.
  5. We tidy up at the end.

Before we arrive

  • Give us your final numbers and diets
  • Give us a contact for the day
  • Tell us when you want service to start
