Mexican bar hire in Reading Street, from our truck or trailer

Margaritas are the centrepiece: tequila, lime and orange liqueur over ice. On the menu are Mexican beer, soft drinks and horchata, and it is a good fit for garden get-togethers and wedding receptions and evening parties.

In a rural spot like Reading Street, drinks can be served from our truck or trailer in a garden, field or by a marquee, as long as we can get in. Licensing for alcohol is checked with you beforehand. We serve from the hatch of our food truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan the service around your numbers.

How we price Mexican bar hire

These are the factors that matter most:

  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • How long we are needed on site
  • What’s on the menu
  • Distance and access to the venue

Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so it helps to tell us about your venue. Your quote confirms the full price.

Getting an accurate quote

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what to include:

  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • Where the event is
  • What power and water the site has
  • Expected numbers

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: the venue, the timings, food or drinks or both, and the access. To send your details, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

Can I do a taco night myself?

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.

Your questions about Mexican bar hire in Reading Street

Will you travel to a small place like Reading Street?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Mary?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

What if the weather’s bad?

We can keep serving from the truck or trailer in the rain, but your guests will want somewhere covered, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.

Is there something for non-drinkers?

There are always alcohol-free options, from aguas frescas to soft drinks.

Is the food suitable for children?

Yes. We can keep dishes mild, and simple options such as quesadillas or nachos can be part of the menu. Include children in your numbers.

How long are you on site?

We get there well before service to set up. Serving times are agreed with you in advance.

How much is a food truck for an event?

The price depends on numbers, menu, service time and where your event is. Contact us for a quote.

What do you serve?

We agree a sample menu with each client. Fillings could include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga, beef birria and vegan options such as spiced mushrooms or black beans. See our menu for ideas.

How it works

Serving is quick: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so a crowd is looked after quickly. Afterwards we clear our area. In December, the light goes in Reading Street at about 3:50pm, so an outdoor bar needs lighting from the start. Midsummer is the opposite, with daylight until about 9:15pm.

  1. We check availability.
  2. You get a suggested drinks list.
  3. We agree where the bar goes.
  4. The bar opens at the agreed time.
  5. When the bar shuts, we clear away.

Planning help

Planning the bar

A few tips to help the bar run smoothly:

  • Plan alcohol-free drinks for drivers
  • Collect allergy details in advance
  • Share bar opening times
  • Serve food alongside the drinks

When the bar closes, we pack down and clear our area.

Before you choose a spot

We’ll be honest if a space will not work. What matters most:

  • Agreement from the venue for our bar
  • A flat, firm spot for the bar
  • A bar spot away from homes

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise before you book.

Why choose Mexican bar hire in Reading Street?

A self-service drinks table is simple but can run dry or go warm. A staffed bar keeps everything under control. Larger events can cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.
