Mexican party catering in Comp, from our truck or trailer

Taco bars are made for parties: guests fill their own tortillas from fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings, so fussy eaters and adventurous ones are both happy. It works well for retirement and leaving parties and street and neighbourhood parties, with quesadillas, guacamole and salsas and burritos.

A country party near Comp is a good fit for street food: served fresh from the hatch in a garden or field. Plan a gazebo for guests in case of rain. We serve from the hatch of our truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

What Mexican party catering costs

We quote for your event, and the price is based on:

  • Timings and hours
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • Guest numbers
  • What the venue already provides

Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: service time, staff, plates and napkins, travel and VAT. Our quote sets out what’s included.

What we need to know

You don’t need every detail fixed to get a quote, but these help:

  • Where the event is
  • A picture of where we’d park
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • Expected numbers

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: the venue, the timings, food or drinks or both, and the access. When you’re ready, fill in our quote form.

Planning for every diet

We cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests. To get it right:

  • Let the neighbours know
  • Tell us about any severe allergies before the party
  • Plan where rubbish goes
  • Plan a covered spot for wet weather

After service, we pack away, so the party carries on.

  • A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue
  • Permission from the venue or landowner

Can I do a taco night myself?

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

The process

It’s a relaxed, well-organised set-up. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, set up our food truck or trailer, and serve without fuss. At midsummer, it’s light in Comp until about 9:20pm, which gives a garden party a long evening. By late September sunset is around 7:00pm, so plan festoon lights for later parties.

  1. Send us your date, where the party is, numbers and dietary needs.
  2. You get a sample menu and a quote for your party.
  3. Before the day, we check the space, the way in, power and water.
  4. On the day we set up and serve hot food at the time you choose.
  5. We pack down after service so the party can carry on.

Before we arrive

  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
  • Give us a contact for the day

FAQs for Comp

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Mary?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Do you cater in villages like Comp?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

How many guests can you serve?

That depends on the menu and the service time, but our truck and trailer service generally suits around 50 to 400 guests. For anything outside that, ask us.

Do you provide plates and napkins?

Ask us when you enquire. Let us know what you already have, and we will set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.

What will our party cost?

We don’t publish set prices, because every party is different. Send your details and we’ll send a quote.

Do you have vegan options?

Yes. Vegetarian and vegan fillings, such as spiced mushrooms or black beans, can be part of the menu.

Can you serve from my drive or garden?

Often, yes, if there is level, firm ground and access wide and high enough for the truck or trailer. Send a photo and we’ll check.

Do you come to Comp?

Yes, we do. We serve at events in Comp and across Kent. Send us your date to check availability.
