Mexican party catering for your party in Cranleigh

Taco bars are made for parties: guests fill their own tortillas from fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings, so fussy eaters and adventurous ones are both happy. It works well for naming days and christenings and family get-togethers, with loaded nachos, burritos and a build-your-own taco bar.

In a place like Cranleigh, a garden party is typically the easiest option. Let us know how the truck or trailer can reach the garden, and we will do the rest. We serve from the hatch of our truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

What Mexican party catering costs

We quote for your event, which reflects:

  • Timings and hours
  • The menu you choose
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • Distance and access to the venue

A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, as there is no kitchen to hire. Contact us for a quote to compare.

Details that help

You don’t need everything decided to ask for a quote, but it helps to know:

  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • What you’d like on the menu
  • The date and rough timings
  • How we drive in and where we can park

Each quote is tailored to your event. Give us your date and numbers, and we’ll check availability at the same time.

What happens on the day

Service is quick and friendly: guests are served at the hatch or a serving station, so even a long queue moves. Afterwards we clear our area. A summer party in Cranleigh stays light until about 9:20pm at midsummer, which gives a garden party a long evening. In late September it’s dark by about 7:05pm; add lights for the evening.

  1. Send us your date, where the party is, numbers and dietary needs.
  2. We put a menu together and quote for it.
  3. We confirm access, parking, power and water.
  4. We set up and serve tacos and more while your guests enjoy the party.
  5. When everyone is fed, we clear our area.

Getting ready for the day

Should I do it myself?

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it’s more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.

Before you choose a spot

Many gardens, fields and venues can take a truck or trailer, but a few things matter:

  • Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking
  • Permission from the venue or landowner
  • Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer

If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.

Common questions in Cranleigh

How far is Cranleigh from London?

Roughly 30 miles from the centre of London.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Nicholas?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

How long do you serve for?

It depends on your event. We agree arrival, service and pack-down times with you so everything fits your schedule.

What happens if it rains?

We can keep serving from the truck or trailer in the rain, but guests need somewhere covered to eat and drink, like a marquee or gazebo.

How spicy is the food?

The food can be kept mild, and hotter salsas go on the side for guests who like heat.

Do you give allergen information?

Yes. Tell us about allergies when you book. UK law requires caterers to provide information on 14 allergens, and we do that for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). For severe allergies, please talk to us first.

Can guests build their own tacos?

Yes, a taco bar is one of the ways we serve. Tell us about your space and numbers and we’ll suggest the best set-up.

Can you run a bar?

Yes, we run a Mexican drinks bar, serving margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas such as hibiscus and horchata, and soft drinks. Your venue or event may need the right licence for alcohol, so we’ll go through the licensing with you.
