Mexican party catering in Wincheap, from our truck or trailer

We cater parties at homes, village halls with outdoor space, clubs and hired venues. Send us the address and we will check the way in. On the menu are loaded nachos, burritos and guacamole and salsas, and it is a good fit for christenings and naming days and neighbourhood celebrations.

Parties around Wincheap are often relaxed, garden-and-gazebo affairs. A taco truck on the drive fits right in, with power and water agreed beforehand. We’ll check the space, access and power with you before the day, so there are no surprises on arrival.

The menu, item by item

Burritos

A filling burrito wrapped up to eat on the go.

Salsas and guacamole

Guacamole and a choice of salsas, made fresh for your party.

The process

The truck or trailer tends to draw a crowd, so we plan a spot with space for people to queue. We can serve in the rain, but guests will need somewhere covered. December parties in Wincheap are dark from about 3:50pm, so plan lighting where guests queue and eat. At midsummer, sunset is about 9:15pm.

  1. Tell us when and where, and how many.
  2. We suggest a menu and send a quote.
  3. We confirm access, then arrive early on the day.
  4. Food is served from the hatch or the taco bar.
  5. We pack down after service.

Before we arrive

  • Tell us when you want service to start
  • Find out what power and water are available
  • Tell us about narrow gates or low branches

Planners, venues and businesses

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.

Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we’ll talk you through the process. We’re happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.

How we price Mexican party catering

The price comes down to a few factors:

  • Travel, parking and access
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • What the venue already provides
  • The menu you choose

The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we will quote.

Details that help

You do not need every detail fixed to get a quote, but these help:

  • The date and rough timings
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Your menu ideas

Getting a quote is simple: share your date, venue, numbers and diets. We’ll come back with a clear quote and a suggested menu.

How it compares

DIY catering saves money but takes your time. Book us and you’re a guest too. A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, because it needs no venue kitchen. Ask us for a quote.

Why us?

  • Tacos, burritos and a drinks bar
  • A clear quote
  • Quick, friendly service from the hatch
  • A menu agreed with you

Should I do it myself?

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it’s more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

FAQs for Wincheap

How far is Wincheap from central London?

Roughly 53 miles from the centre of London.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Mildred?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

How many guests can you serve?

Our truck and trailer service normally suits events of around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller parties are quoted case by case, and festivals can be larger. Send us your numbers and we will advise.

Can you serve in the rain?

The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but your guests will want somewhere covered, like a marquee or gazebo.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can for summer weekends. Check your date with us.

Can guests build their own tacos?

We can. A build-your-own taco bar can be served from the truck or a serving station, with fillings, salsas and toppings to choose from. Read our taco bar guide.

How much is a taco truck for a party?

Every party is quoted for individually, based on numbers, the menu and the location. Contact us for a quote.

Can you keep it mild?

The food can be kept mild, with hotter salsas on the side for anyone who wants more heat.

Planning the serving area

Before the day, we’ll agree where we park and serve. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • A photo of the drive or garden helps us check the space
  • A route in that is wide and tall enough, with soft ground checked in advance
  • A spot away from buildings, windows and neighbours

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we’ll say what we think.

On the menu in Wincheap

Dietary needs and planning tips

Most events have a mix of diets. To plan for them:

  • Ask guests about diets when you invite them
  • Have cover ready for a shower
  • Give separate numbers for children
  • Put out bins for general waste and recycling

At food time, we open the hatch, while you enjoy your guests.

Extra salsas and toppings for the taco bar.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
