Step by step

On the day, we position the truck or trailer and get the serving area ready. Service starts at the time we have agreed, so everything runs to your schedule. By late September, it is dark in Agar Town at around 7:05pm, so an evening programme will run partly after dusk. Tell us how the site will be lit when you send the pitch details.

  1. It starts with your event details and pitch information.
  2. We send our menu, pitch requirements and the documents you ask traders for.
  3. We set up the truck or trailer on the pitch at the agreed time.
  4. Tacos, burritos and more are served to order while the event is open.
  5. When trading ends, we pack down and leave the pitch clean.

How to compare caterers

What affects the price in Agar Town

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, because of:

  • How many staff you need
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • Parking and the route in
  • How many guests we’re serving

Extras, such as more dishes, extra drinks or a longer service, are quoted on request, so you choose what goes in.

Details that help

To check availability and price, we need:

  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Where the event is
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • A picture of where we’d park

Every quote is put together for your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we will confirm whether we’re available that day.

Planners, venues and businesses

If you’re organising for someone else, whether you’re a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It saves passing messages back and forth.

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we’ll follow them.

FAQs for Agar Town

Which station should guests use for Agar Town?

Guests can use Camden Road station, which is right in Agar Town.

Do you come to school fairs around Agar Town?

Yes, with the school’s permission and a pitch the truck or trailer can reach. Send us the date, pitch and expected numbers.

Do you have vegan options?

Yes, always. Vegan fillings such as spiced mushrooms or black beans are on the menu.

What if the weather’s bad?

The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but your guests will want somewhere covered, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.

Can you cater for guests who avoid dairy?

Yes. We offer dairy-free options.

What paperwork do you provide?

Tell us what the event needs and we’ll send the paperwork your event asks for.

Do you cater for coeliacs?

Yes, we offer gluten-free options, using corn tortillas. Tell us about any coeliac guests before the event so we can talk through how their food is prepared.

Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, with allergen information for every dish. We plan carefully and keep options separate, though we cannot promise a dish is allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

Popular choices

Burrito bowls

Bowls suit gluten-free visitors on the grass.

Loaded nachos

Crisp chips loaded up.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

How it compares

For crew catering, sandwiches are easy but uninspiring. A hot meal keeps crew happy. The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, along with extras and where your event is. Every event gets its own quote.

Why us?

  • Book food, drinks or both
  • Allergen information for everything we serve

Space, access and the venue

Many gardens, fields and venues can take a truck or trailer, but a few things matter:

  • Vehicle access to the pitch for set-up and break-down
  • Your trader pack and site rules
  • Room for the truck or trailer and customers

Agar Town is in London, inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, which covers all of Greater London, and parking can be tight: tell us about parking bays, permits, a driveway or whether a parking suspension is needed.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise.
