Mexican street food for your event in Eastrop

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance and kept hot on site, which keeps the queue moving at busy times. It suits agricultural and county shows and street food and farmers’ markets, serving loaded nachos, quesadillas and burritos.

Summer fairs around Eastrop are often run by volunteers, so we agree pitch, access and power with the organiser in advance. Timings are planned around your event, whether that is speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

The process

Once service is over, we pack down and clear our own area. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. By late September, it is dark in Eastrop at around 7:10pm, so an evening programme will run partly after dusk. Organisers should plan that into the site layout.

  1. Tell us about the event, the crowd and the pitch.
  2. You get our menu and pitch requirements.
  3. Power, water and access are agreed in advance.
  4. On the day, we are ready before the busiest hours.
  5. When trading ends, the pitch is cleared and left clean.

How to prepare

  • Tell us what power and water the site has
  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready

Should I do it myself?

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Contact us for a quote to compare.

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: see how many tacos per person. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

Working with your venue

Organising a club, school or community event in Eastrop? A truck or trailer serves a crowd quickly, with options for most diets. Give us the details and we’ll suggest a plan.

If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, whether you’re a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It saves passing messages back and forth.

Planning for every diet

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Here’s how:

  • Put picnic tables near the traders
  • Schedule crew meals
  • Share power and water details early
  • Check allergen information is on display

We serve from the hatch throughout trading hours, made to order.

Bowls as a gluten-free choice.

How we price Mexican street food

Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • How many guests we are serving
  • Serving staff
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food

The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we will quote.

What to tell us

You do not need everything decided to ask for a quote, but these help:

  • Expected numbers
  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • Your menu ideas

Thinking about Mexican street food for your event in Eastrop? Tell us what you have in mind and we will reply with a menu and a clear price. Just fill in our quote form.

Is Mexican street food right for your event?

For crew catering, sandwiches are easy but uninspiring. A hot meal keeps crew happy. There’s no one-size-fits-all price for Mexican street food. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Contact us for a quote.

What you get with us

  • Food and drinks from one caterer, if you want both
  • Allergen-aware menus
  • Menus for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan guests
  • Set-up planned with you and your venue

FAQs for Eastrop

How far is Eastrop from London?

It is about 46 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Can you bring your truck or trailer to Eastrop Park?

Only if the landowner, often the council, allows it. Ask them first, and we will help with the information they need from us.

Do you provide drinks?

Yes, we do. Our drinks bar can be booked on its own or with food, with alcohol-free options such as aguas frescas. For alcohol, we’ll check the licensing with you and your venue.

Can you bring margaritas?

That depends on licensing. Tell us whether the event has a premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice, and we’ll go from there.

What if the weather’s bad?

Rain does not usually stop service from the truck or trailer. Plan cover for guests, such as a marquee or gazebo, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.

How many guests can you serve?

It depends on the menu and how long service runs, but our truck and trailer service normally suits around 50 to 400 guests. For anything outside that, ask us.

Do you come to Eastrop?

Yes. We cover London and the South East, and Eastrop is within our area and the rest of Hampshire. To check your date, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Of course. We can include vegetarian and vegan fillings like black beans or spiced mushrooms.
