For planners, venues and organisers

Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we will keep you updated on timings and set-up.

If you’re organising for someone else, whether you are a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we are happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It saves passing messages back and forth.

Diets, allergies and planning

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. Our advice:

  • Plan access routes for trader vehicles
  • Confirm power and water with traders
  • Plan for vegan and gluten-free visitors
  • Put all trader information in one pack

We keep in touch with your traders’ contact on the day.

Vegan tacos alongside the rest.

What affects the price in Greenwich

Your quote will be clear. The main things that affect it are:

  • Timings and hours
  • Whether you need disposables
  • Food, drinks or both
  • The menu you choose

A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, as there’s no kitchen to hire. Contact us for a quote to compare.

What we need to know

To check availability and price, we need:

  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • Where the event is

Each quote is tailored to your event. Give us your date and numbers, and we will check availability at the same time.

How it compares

Burger and hot dog stalls are familiar but similar. A Mexican trader adds variety to a food line-up. Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so it helps to tell us about your venue. Your quote confirms the full price.

What you get with us

  • A truck or trailer that comes to you
  • Menus for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests
  • Menus chosen with you
  • Allergen-aware menus

See how we price or our guide to catering costs.

The process

The truck or trailer needs a level, firm spot with access to drive in, with power and water arrangements agreed beforehand. Send us a photo of the space if you are unsure. Summer events in Greenwich have daylight until about 9:20pm at midsummer and about 7:05pm by late September, so evening trading typically finishes in daylight in high summer. Winter markets, dark by about 3:55pm, need a well-lit pitch.

  1. Send the event name, expected visitors and pitch size.
  2. You get our menu and pitch requirements.
  3. We confirm power, water and access arrangements.
  4. We plan to be ready for the lunchtime rush.
  5. When trading ends, the pitch is cleared and left clean.

Getting ready for the day

  • Give us your final numbers and diets
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve
  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough

How to get a price

We need only a few details to quote: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. To send them, fill in our quote form.

Event catering near Greenwich

Greenwich is about 4 miles east of London, in Greater London. We bring Mexican street food to homes, gardens and venues in Greenwich and the surrounding area. Greenwich is one of 764 towns and villages in Greater London where we can bring Mexican street food.

A school such as Meridian Primary School running a summer fair could book a taco truck. A market or festival in Island Gardens would be licensed by whoever manages the park, and we will provide our part of the paperwork.

Here we cover the SE10, SE3 and SE8 postcode area, so your event can be anywhere in it. Local streets include Cade Road, Webb Road and Creek Road; for an event at home on any of them, tell us where the truck or trailer can park. Can I do a taco night myself?

A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, with allergen information for every dish.

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Contact us for a quote to compare.

What we need at the venue

We will be honest if a space will not work, and help find another spot. What matters most:

  • Spacing from tents and other structures
  • Details of power, water and waste arrangements
  • The event’s site rules and timings

London streets around Greenwich can be narrow and busy, and all of Greater London sits inside the ULEZ. Tell us about loading, permits and any parking suspension when you enquire.

If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.
