Mexican street food for Henfield events

How our Mexican street food works in Henfield

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance and kept hot on site, which keeps the queue moving at busy times. We serve burrito bowls, burritos and vegan tacos, which works well for community days and sports clubs and race days.

Summer fairs around Henfield are often run by volunteers, so it helps to agree the pitch, power and water early. Guests are served from our food truck or trailer, or from a serving table nearby, and we plan the service around your numbers.

Diets, allergies and planning

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Here’s how:

  • Send traders one clear trader pack
  • Confirm power and water with traders
  • Share vehicle access times with traders
  • Plan for vegan and gluten-free visitors

Crew meals are served at set times.

Our drinks bar, where the event’s licensing allows.

How it compares

Some street food is slow to serve one order at a time. With fillings prepared ahead, service is fast. Pricing depends on the event. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Contact us for a quote.

Why book with us

  • A quote that sets out what’s included
  • Served fresh from our truck or trailer
  • A menu agreed with you
  • Every guest catered for, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan included

Should I do it myself?

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: see how many tacos per person. Keep warmed tortillas covered, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Our taco bar guide explains how.

For planners, venues and organisers

If you’re booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we’ll explain how it works. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we will keep everyone informed on the day.

How it works

When service finishes, we pack up and leave our area tidy. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. Summer events in Henfield have daylight until about 9:20pm at midsummer and about 7:05pm by late September, so evening trading normally finishes in daylight in high summer. Winter markets, dark by about 3:55pm, need a well-lit pitch.

  1. Organisers send us the event details, dates and pitch information.
  2. We send our menu, pitch requirements and the documents you ask traders for.
  3. We set up the truck or trailer on the pitch at the agreed time.
  4. We cook to order and serve through the agreed trading hours.
  5. We pack away and leave the pitch tidy.

Preparing for the day

How to compare caterers

What Mexican street food costs

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • How many guests we’re serving
  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • Travel, parking and access

The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, plus any add-ons and the location. Every event gets its own quote.

What we need to know

You don’t need everything decided to ask for a quote, but these help:

  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
  • Your menu ideas
  • A picture of the space, if it is a garden or field
  • Any dietary needs and allergies

The quickest way to a quote is to drop us a line using the enquiry form. Tell us about your event in Henfield, and we’ll suggest a menu to suit.
