About our Mexican street food in Hollybushes

The menu is agreed with organisers, with fillings such as carnitas, chicken tinga or beef birria, and a vegan filling like black beans. For seasonal and night markets and sports clubs and race days, we can serve burrito bowls, tacos and quesadillas for your guests.

Near Hollybushes, events may be far from shops and cafés, so a taco truck is a welcome sight. We serve from the hatch of our food truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan service so the queue keeps moving.

Questions from Hollybushes

Can you bring your truck or trailer to Cromers Wood?

Only with permission from whoever runs the park, often the council. Check with them, and we’ll provide what they ask for from us.

Do you cater in villages like Hollybushes?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Do you need power?

Let us know what the pitch has and we will confirm our needs. Power and water are agreed with each booking.

How many guests can you serve?

That depends on the menu and the service time, but around 50 to 400 guests is the usual range. Tell us your numbers and we’ll advise.

How spicy is the food?

The food can be kept mild, and hotter salsas go on the side for guests who like heat.

Can you send us your trader documents?

Tell us what the event needs and we’ll send the paperwork your event asks for.

What access do you need?

Level, firm ground or hardstanding for the truck or trailer, and a route in it can fit through, and the venue’s agreement. We confirm power and water with you for each booking.

Can you feed our volunteers?

Yes. Crew, volunteer and hospitality catering is available, with or without a public stall.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone has to serve all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Contact us for a quote to compare.

The process

We take care of everything you’ve booked, from set-up to service, so you can enjoy your event. A December market in Hollybushes loses the light at about 3:50pm, so a lit pitch helps visitors find the truck. At midsummer, daylight lasts until roughly 9:15pm.

  1. Send the event name, expected visitors and pitch size.
  2. You get our menu and pitch requirements.
  3. We confirm power, water and access arrangements.
  4. On the day, we’re ready before the busiest hours.
  5. When trading ends, the pitch is cleared and left clean.

Getting ready for the day

  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park
  • Measure any gates or arches on the way in
  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain

Choosing a Mexican caterer

How we price Mexican street food

Contact us for a quote, and the price is based on:

  • How many guests we are serving
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • Travel, parking and access

Larger events can cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we will quote.

Details that help

To speed things up, tell us:

  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • Your date and when you want service to start

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: venue, timings, menu ideas and access. When you are ready, tell us about it on our contact page.

Catering for every guest

Good planning keeps every guest safe and happy. Try these:

  • Check traders’ packaging and waste plans
  • Plan for vegan and gluten-free visitors
  • Ask for allergen information at each stall
  • Schedule crew meals

At the end, we clear the pitch and leave it clean.

Alcohol-free aguas frescas.
