Our caterer checklist

DIY taco night or a caterer?

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label anything containing allergens.

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles allergen information for you.

Popular choices

Tacos

Tacos are made for eating on the move.

Vegan tacos

A real choice for vegans.

Horsebridge questions

Which station is closest to Horsebridge?

Mottisfont & Dunbridge station, about 3.2 miles south-west of the centre.

Do you come out to small places like Horsebridge?

Yes, we cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Tell us about lanes, gates, ground and parking.

Do you take everything away?

We pack down and leave our area tidy. Let us know the venue’s rules on waste and we will talk it through.

Can you plan for allergies?

Yes. Tell us about allergies when you book. Under UK rules, caterers must give information on 14 allergens, and we do that for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). For severe allergies, please talk to us first.

How much is a food truck for an event?

Every event is quoted individually, so the price fits what you want. Give us your date, numbers and menu ideas for a clear quote.

Is the food suitable for children?

Yes, children are welcome. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we will suggest mild options.

Is there a minimum number of guests?

That depends on the menu and the service time, but around 50 to 400 guests is the usual range. Tell us your numbers and we’ll advise.

Can you cater for crew and volunteers?

Yes. We can cook for crew, volunteers or a hospitality area as well as, or instead of, a public stall.

Comparing your options

If you want a trader that adds atmosphere, tacos and burritos deliver. Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, as there’s no kitchen to hire. Ask us for a quote.

What you get with us

  • Set-up planned with you and your venue
  • A quote that sets out what’s included
  • Menus for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free guests

The process

The truck or trailer needs a level, firm spot with access to drive in, and we agree power and water arrangements before the day. A photo of the space helps. Summer events in Horsebridge have daylight until about 9:25pm at midsummer and about 7:10pm by late September, so evening trading normally finishes in daylight in high summer. Winter markets, dark by about 4:00pm, need a well-lit pitch.

  1. Send us your event details and pitch information.
  2. We confirm our menu, pitch needs and paperwork.
  3. We arrive and set up at the agreed time.
  4. Orders are served from the hatch while the event runs.
  5. We clear and leave the pitch clean.

Getting ready for the day

  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve
