About our Mexican street food in Kent Street

One Mexican trader covers several diets: we serve vegan and vegetarian fillings and corn tortillas for gluten-free visitors. That helps organisers balance the line-up. At school and charity events and country shows, we’ll put together a menu of loaded nachos, burrito bowls and burritos for your guests.

Near Kent Street, events may be far from shops and cafés, so a taco truck is a welcome sight. Food and drinks can be booked together or separately, so one caterer can cover more of the day.

Organising for someone else?

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We will provide the information the landowner or council asks for from us.

What Mexican street food costs

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, depending on:

  • The number of people
  • Travel, parking and access
  • What the venue already provides
  • The length of service

Pricing depends on the event. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Contact us for a quote.

What to tell us

We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what’s useful:

  • Expected numbers
  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • A picture of where we’d park
  • Any dietary needs and allergies

Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, plus any dietary needs, and we’ll reply with a menu suggestion and a quote. Just use our quote form.

How the day works

We arrive in good time before service, then set up and prepare everything. Guests come up to order when service opens. Summer events in Kent Street have daylight until about 9:20pm at midsummer and about 7:05pm by late September, which helps evening trading. Winter markets, dark by about 3:55pm, need a well-lit pitch.

  1. It starts with your event details and pitch information.
  2. You get our stall menu, what we need at the pitch and the paperwork you request.
  3. We arrive at the agreed time and set up on our pitch.
  4. We cook to order and serve through the agreed trading hours.
  5. At the close, we clear our pitch.

Before we arrive

  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
  • Give us your final numbers and diets
