How to compare caterers

Wedding Mexican catering in Caulcott, from our truck or trailer

Add our Mexican drinks bar for margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, with alcohol-free choices for drivers and children. Licensing is checked with you and the venue first. Popular choices include evening tacos, burrito bowls and tacos, which works well for weddings with mixed diets and late-evening wedding food.

Near Caulcott, weddings are often in fields, barns or gardens. That is where a food truck comes into its own: no kitchen, just firm ground and access. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. You can book food, drinks or both, so one caterer can cover more of the day.

Can I do a taco night myself?

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

Before you choose a spot

The route in matters as much as the spot itself. We look for:

  • The venue’s or landowner’s permission for a catering vehicle
  • Some distance from houses and neighbours
  • Details of power and water on site, agreed when you book

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly.

Popular choices

  • Nachos to share
  • Guacamole and salsas
  • Taco bar wedding breakfast
  • Evening tacos
  • Burritos and bowls
  • Margarita bar

The process

We arrive in good time before service, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. Guests come up to order when service opens. At midsummer, sunset in Caulcott is about 9:30pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. Sunset is around 9:00pm in late May and 7:10pm in late September.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, day and evening numbers and your plans.
  2. We plan the food with you: wedding breakfast, evening food or both.
  3. Timings and where the truck or trailer will stand are agreed with your venue.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve on cue, around speeches and photos.
  5. Once service is done, we pack away quietly.

Preparing for the day

  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain
  • Tell us about narrow gates or low branches
  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time

Questions from Caulcott

Do you cater in villages like Caulcott?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Is Caulcott close to London?

It is about 58 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

What do you need at the venue?

A level, firm spot for the truck or trailer, with access wide and high enough to drive in, plus the venue’s permission. Power and water arrangements are confirmed with each booking.

Can you keep it mild?

That’s your choice: we can keep the main dishes mild, with hotter salsas served separately.

Will you talk to our venue?

Yes, it makes life easier. Put us in touch and we will agree the details.

How long do you serve for?

It depends on your event. Timings are agreed in advance to suit your day.

Can you feed our photographer and band?

Of course. Add your suppliers to the final numbers.

Is the food suitable for children?

Yes, children are welcome. Let us know numbers and ages, and we’ll suggest mild options.

What affects the price in Caulcott

Two events with the same number of guests can cost different amounts, because of:

  • How many staff you need
  • Parking and the route in
  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery

If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we will suggest a menu that fits. Even a simple menu can feel generous.

What to tell us

To speed things up, tell us:

  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • Your menu ideas
  • Roughly how many adults and children

Every event is quoted individually, so the price fits what you actually want. For a quote, drop us a line using the enquiry form.
