Wedding Mexican catering for your wedding in Chitty

Mixed diets are easier with a Mexican wedding menu: we plan gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options and give allergen information for every dish. We serve a taco bar for the wedding breakfast, burrito bowls and evening tacos, and it’s a good fit for rustic barn weddings and blessings and vow renewals.

There is something special about a country wedding near Chitty, and tacos served from a truck in a field add to it. Plan for access, soft ground and wet-weather cover for guests. Timings are planned around your event, so service starts when you want it.

Dietary needs and planning tips

Most events have a mix of diets. To plan for them:

  • Share your running order, including speeches
  • Collect dietary needs on the RSVP
  • Tell us how many evening guests to expect
  • Ask whether your venue allows food trucks

On the day, we work with your coordinator or toastmaster, so you don’t have to.

Ask us about plates, cutlery and serving staff, and we’ll confirm what’s possible with your quote.

Can I do a taco night myself?

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone has to serve all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

Weighing up a DIY taco night against a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.

Organising for someone else?

For big numbers, we plan service to keep queues short, so guests are looked after quickly. Let us know how long the break is.

Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we’ll explain how it works. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

The process

We arrive in good time before service, then set up and prepare everything. Guests come up to order when service opens. Golden-hour photos in Chitty at midsummer come around 9:15pm, so we can time the evening food around your photos. Sunset is around 8:45pm in late May and 7:00pm in late September.

  1. Send us your wedding date, venue and numbers.
  2. We plan the wedding breakfast, evening food or both with you.
  3. Timings are agreed with your venue.
  4. We serve at the agreed points in the day.
  5. We clear our area once service ends.

Preparing for the day

  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
  • Let us know the timings for the day
  • Let us know who to talk to on the day

Planning help

What wedding Mexican catering costs

Pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:

  • Whether you need disposables
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • How many guests we are serving
  • Serving staff

Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, because it needs no venue kitchen. Ask us for a quote.

Getting an accurate quote

To speed things up, tell us:

  • What power and water the site has
  • Expected numbers
  • Your menu ideas
  • Diets and allergies you know about

Not sure what you need yet? No problem: tell us about the occasion and the guests, and we’ll make suggestions. When you’re ready, send us your details through our quote form.

Do you cater at coastal events near Chitty?

Yes, with permission for the spot and firm ground for the truck or trailer. Seafront and beach spots typically need permission, and wind is the main thing to plan for.

Herne Bay station, about 4 miles north-west of the centre.

Do you do a taco bar?

Yes. We can set up a build-your-own taco bar, served from the truck or a serving table, with fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings.

Who clears up?

We pack down and leave our area tidy. Let us know the venue’s rules on waste and we’ll confirm the arrangements with your quote.
