About our wedding Mexican catering in East Street

Our drinks bar can serve margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, with alcohol-free options too. We’ll go through the licensing with you and your venue. It works well for parties after a register office wedding and farm and barn venues, serving fresh guacamole and salsas, loaded nachos and a taco bar for the wedding breakfast.

A wedding in a small place like East Street often means a field, a barn or a family garden. A truck or trailer works well there: no venue kitchen needed, just level, firm ground and a way in. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. We prepare everything fresh for your wedding and serve it straight from our food truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.

How to compare caterers

Your questions about wedding Mexican catering in East Street

We are having a ceremony at Church of St Nicholas: can you cater afterwards?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Which station should guests use for East Street?

Sandwich station, about 1.8 miles south-east of the centre.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote.

What’s on the menu?

Mexican street food: tacos, taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas, with salsas, guacamole and toppings. A drinks bar is available too.

Do you do a wedding bar?

Our drinks bar can be added, with alcohol-free choices too. Licensing is checked with you and the venue.

Can you run a bar?

Yes, we offer a Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and soft drinks. Alcohol at an event may need a licence, such as a premises licence or a Temporary Event Notice, so we’ll go through the licensing with you.

What happens if it rains?

The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but guests need somewhere covered to eat and drink, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.

What access do you need?

A level, firm spot for the truck or trailer, with access wide and high enough to drive in, and the venue’s agreement. We confirm power and water with you for each booking.

What we need at the venue

Before the day, we will agree where we park and serve. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • Agreement from the venue to bring a food truck or trailer on site
  • A spot away from buildings, windows and neighbours
  • A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly.

Popular choices

How it compares

Some caterers only do the evening. We can cater the wedding breakfast too. Your choice of food and drinks affects the price, so tell us what you have in mind. Tell us your budget and we will suggest a menu.

What we offer in East Street

  • Served fresh from our truck or trailer
  • Fast service, even with a queue
  • Menus chosen with you
  • A plan agreed before the day

Catering for every guest

Every guest is catered for, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan included. To make it work smoothly:

  • Tell us how many evening guests to expect
  • Ask whether your venue allows food trucks
  • Tell us about guests with coeliac disease or severe allergies
  • Introduce us to your venue coordinator

After service, we clear our area; the evening carries on without us.

A wider choice of salsas and toppings fills out the taco bar.

How it works

Once service is over, we pack down and clear our own area. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. At midsummer, sunset in East Street is about 9:15pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. In late May, sunset is about 8:45pm, and in late September about 7:00pm.

  1. First, we check availability for your date.
  2. You pick the menu with us.
  3. We confirm the plan with your venue.
  4. Guests build their tacos at the taco bar or order at the hatch.
  5. After serving, we clear away.

Getting ready for the day

  • Give us your final numbers and diets
  • Measure any gates or arches on the way in

Can I do a taco night myself?

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. With a caterer, you get the food and drinks without the work.

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.
