How our wedding Mexican catering works in Further Quarter

Wedding taco bars feel relaxed, generous and a little different. Everyone fills their own tortillas from the fillings, salsas and toppings, and the queue becomes a chance to chat. It suits day-after celebrations and engagement parties at home, serving loaded nachos, quesadillas and fresh guacamole and salsas.

Rural weddings around Further Quarter have a charm of their own, and tacos served from a truck in a field add to it. Plan access, ground and cover in case of rain. Everything is prepared fresh for your wedding and served from our truck or trailer.

For event organisers in Further Quarter

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: vehicle access, arrival times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.

For larger events, we plan serving points around your timings, so everyone is served promptly. Tell us how long you have for food and drinks.

The process

Serving is quick: guests are served at the hatch or a serving station, so even a long queue moves. Afterwards we clear our area. Golden-hour photos in Further Quarter at midsummer come around 9:15pm, so we can time the evening food around your photos. In late May, sunset is about 8:45pm, and in late September about 7:00pm.

  1. First, we check availability for your date.
  2. You choose the fillings, sides and extras.
  3. We confirm access and the serving spot with your coordinator.
  4. Food is served from the taco bar or the hatch.
  5. We serve, then pack down.

How to prepare

  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
  • Find out what power and water are available

How to get a price

It’s easy to get a price: share your date, venue, numbers and diets. We will come back with a clear quote.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.

Weighing up a DIY taco night against a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Ask us for a quote and compare.

What we need at the venue

Plenty of outdoor spaces and venues work for us, but a few things matter:

  • Agreement from the venue to bring a food truck or trailer on site
  • Space for guests to queue
  • A serving spot close to the marquee or reception area

If you are unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think before booking.

Popular choices

  • Evening tacos
  • Guacamole and salsas
  • Nachos to share
  • Taco bar wedding breakfast
  • Margarita bar
  • Burritos and bowls

Comparing your options

A plated wedding breakfast needs a kitchen and a larger team. We bring our kitchen with us, and the style is more relaxed. Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, along with extras and where your event is. We quote for each event individually.

How we price wedding Mexican catering

We’ll give you a clear quote. What affects it most:

  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • The number of people
  • How many staff you need
  • What the venue already provides

Got a budget? Let us know, and we’ll suggest a menu to match. A simple menu can still feel generous.

Details that help

The more we know about your wedding, the better we can plan. Try to include:

  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • A photo of the space, if it is a garden or field

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: venue, timings, menu ideas and access. To send your details, send us your details through our quote form.

Common questions in Further Quarter

Is Further Quarter close to London?

It is about 43 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Do you cater in the High Weald National Landscape?

Yes. Some venues there have rules about vehicles, ground and catering, so check with yours. We’ll follow the site rules.

Is Mexican street food too casual for a wedding?

It can be as relaxed or as polished as you like, depending on the presentation and the venue.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We clear our own area when service is finished. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.

Can we add margaritas?

You can add our drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas. Alcohol needs the right licence, so we will check that with you.

How is the food prepared?

Food is cooked to order in our truck or trailer, or served from a build-your-own taco bar. Fillings are slow-cooked beforehand and finished on site.

Do you do a taco bar?

We can. We can set up a build-your-own taco bar, served from the truck or a serving table, with fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings. Read our taco bar guide.
