Wedding Mexican catering in Old Malden, served fresh

A taco bar at a wedding feels relaxed and generous. Guests build their own plates from warm tortillas, fillings, salsas and toppings, and the queue becomes a chance to chat. It works well for engagement parties and marquee and garden weddings, with burrito bowls, loaded nachos and quesadillas.

In Old Malden, a local ceremony and a marquee reception is a personal choice. A food truck by the marquee suits that kind of day. Let us know about gates and ground for the truck or trailer. We prepare everything fresh for your wedding and serve it straight from our truck or trailer.

Comparing your options

A hog roast is popular at weddings, but harder for vegetarian and vegan guests. Tacos cover them with separate fillings. There’s no one-size-fits-all price for wedding Mexican catering. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Contact us for a quote.

Why us?

  • Allergen information for every dish
  • Service planned around your numbers
  • Everything served fresh from the hatch
  • Set-up planned with you and your venue

How the day works

We arrive in good time before service, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. When service opens, guests come up to the hatch or serving table. By late September, sunset in Old Malden is around 7:05pm, so an evening taco service may start as the light fades. In late May it stays light until about 8:50pm.

  1. First, we check availability for your date.
  2. You choose the fillings, sides and extras.
  3. We confirm the plan with your venue.
  4. Guests build their tacos at the taco bar or order at the hatch.
  5. We serve, then pack down.

Before we arrive

  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park
  • Find out what power and water are available
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers

Planning help

Old Malden: your questions answered

Which station should guests use for Old Malden?

Tolworth station, about 0.5 miles west of the centre.

Could you serve our guests after a service at Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

What’s on the menu?

Mexican street food and drinks: tacos, taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas, plus salsas, guacamole and toppings. We also run a Mexican drinks bar.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

We confirm that with your quote. Tell us whether your venue has crockery or you’d prefer disposables.

What access do you need?

Access and level ground matter most: a firm spot for the truck or trailer, room for a queue and, for a taco bar, space for a serving table. Send us a picture and tell us about gates, slopes and soft ground.

Can a taco bar feel special?

It can be as relaxed or as polished as you like, depending on the presentation and the venue.

Who clears up?

We clear our own area when service is finished. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.

Which areas do you serve?

London and the South East: Greater London, Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire, including Old Malden.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

Doing it yourself? Start with the quantities: see how many tacos per person. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

Catering for every guest

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Here’s how you can help:

  • Put us in touch with your venue
  • Tell us about guests with coeliac disease or severe allergies
  • Ask about your date as soon as you have one
  • Tell us when the speeches will be

After service, we clear our area; the evening carries on without us.

Add our drinks bar for margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas.

Planners, venues and businesses

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can plan ahead.

If you’re booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we will explain how it works. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

How we price wedding Mexican catering

Your quote will be clear. What affects it most:

  • What’s on the menu
  • How many guests we’re serving
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • How long we’re needed on site

If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we will suggest a menu that fits. A simple menu can still feel generous.

What to tell us

You don’t need everything decided to ask for a quote, but it helps to know:

  • The address or venue name
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • Your menu ideas

Most quotes start with a few simple details: date, location, guest numbers and diets. To send them, fill in our quote form.
