Planning an event in Peaslake?

Wedding Mexican catering in Peaslake, served fresh

Service is planned around your running order: whether that’s straight after the photos or later in the evening. We go over timings with your venue beforehand. At food for evening guests and weddings in a marquee or garden, we’ll put together a menu of evening tacos, quesadillas and fresh guacamole and salsas and more.

There’s something special about a country wedding near Peaslake, and tacos served from a truck in a field add to it. Plan access, ground and cover in case of rain. Food and drinks can be booked together or separately, so the food and drinks can come from one caterer.

Quesadillas

Toasted tortillas with melted cheese.

Taco bar wedding breakfast

Fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings with warm tortillas, laid out for guests to build their own.

Should I do it myself?

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone has to serve all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

How we price wedding Mexican catering

Pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:

  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • Whether you need disposables
  • Serving staff

Access, parking and the distance to your venue can affect the price, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. Your quote confirms the full price.

What to tell us

These details help us quote quickly:

  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • The address or venue name

Send us the date, your venue or GU5 postcode and guest numbers, plus any dietary needs, and you will get menu ideas and a price. To get started, fill in our quote form.

Dietary needs and planning tips

With a little notice, most diets are easy. We suggest:

  • Let us know about supplier meals
  • Enquire early for summer Saturdays
  • Let us know about severe allergies in writing
  • Check the venue’s rules for outside caterers and vehicles

On the day, we work with your coordinator or toastmaster, so you can enjoy yourselves.

Ask us about plates, cutlery and serving staff, and we’ll set it out in the quote.

Questions from Peaslake

How far is Peaslake from central London?

About 26 miles from central London, and well within our area.

Do you cater in villages like Peaslake?

Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.

Do you cater for suppliers?

Just add them to your numbers. Tell us when they’ll eat.

What does wedding Mexican catering cost?

Every event is quoted individually, so the price fits what you want. Give us your date, numbers and menu ideas and we will reply with a quote.

Do you work with our venue?

Of course. We will speak to your venue about access and timings.

How soon do we need to book?

Early, particularly for summer Saturdays. Ask about your date even if it’s soon.

Do you give allergen information?

We plan allergen-aware menus, including for nut allergies, with allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we cannot promise anything is completely allergen-free. If a guest has a severe allergy, please talk to us before the event.

Is the food made fresh?

We slow-cook fillings ahead, then finish them and keep them hot at your event. Tortillas are warmed on site, and salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

Wedding Mexican catering or something else?

Hog roasts are popular but tricky for mixed diets. Tacos cover them with separate fillings. A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, as there is no kitchen to hire. Ask us for a quote.

How the day works

We get there well before you want to serve, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. Guests come up to order when service opens. December weddings in Peaslake lose the light by about 3:55pm, so the evening food will be served after dark. Festoon lights by the truck help guests see the menu.

  1. You send us your wedding date, venue, numbers and how you see the day.
  2. We plan the food with you: wedding breakfast, evening food or both.
  3. Timings and where the truck or trailer will stand are agreed with your venue.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve on cue, around speeches and photos.
  5. After the last serving, we clear our area.

Preparing for the day

  • Let us know who to talk to on the day
  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
