Wedding Mexican catering for River events

Wedding Mexican catering in River, from our food truck or trailer

We plan the wedding menu with you, with fillings such as slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga or beef birria, alongside vegan choices like black beans or spiced mushrooms. It suits blessings and vow renewals and engagement parties, serving loaded nachos, fresh guacamole and salsas and a taco bar for the wedding breakfast.

A wedding in a small place like River often means a field, a barn or a family garden. A truck or trailer works well there: no kitchen, just firm ground and access. Let us know about access, ground, power and water. Food and drinks can be booked together or separately, so the food and drinks can come from one caterer.

River questions

Is River close to London?

It’s about 42 miles from central London, and inside the area we cover.

Do you come out to small places like River?

Yes, we cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Tell us about lanes, gates, ground and parking.

Which areas do you serve?

We cover London and the South East, West Sussex included. See all areas.

Do you cater for coeliacs?

Yes, with corn tortillas. Corn is naturally gluten-free, though some sauces and toppings can contain gluten, so we plan gluten-free dishes carefully and give allergen information.

Will you talk to our venue?

Yes, it makes life easier. Put us in touch and we’ll agree the details.

Is a taco bar smart enough for a wedding?

With good presentation, it feels like a celebration.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote, and we will keep their options separate.

How much space do you need?

Access and level ground matter most: a level spot to park, space for guests to queue and a little room for a serving table. If in doubt, send us a picture of the space and the way in.

How it works

Serving is quick: guests are served at the hatch or a serving station, so even a long queue moves. Afterwards we clear our area. At midsummer, sunset in River is about 9:20pm, so we can time the evening food around your photos. In late May, sunset is about 8:50pm, and in late September about 7:05pm.

  1. Send us your wedding date, venue and numbers.
  2. We plan the wedding breakfast, evening food or both with you.
  3. Timings are agreed with your venue.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve on cue.
  5. We clear our area once service ends.

How to prepare

  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers

Why choose wedding Mexican catering in River?

A buffet can leave food sitting out. Tacos go straight from the hatch to the plate. A food truck can be a practical alternative to plated catering, because it needs no venue kitchen. Contact us for a quote to compare.

Why us?

  • We cover River and the whole of West Sussex
  • Service planned around your numbers
  • Allergen-aware menus
  • Book food, drinks or both

Planning for every diet

Mixed diets are straightforward to plan for, because guests can choose what suits them. Here are a few tips for planning:

  • Put us in touch with your venue
  • Have cover for guests if the weather turns
  • Share your running order, including speeches
  • Tell us about guests with coeliac disease or severe allergies

A taco bar is laid out on a table, and guests come up table by table if you like.

Nachos to share work well later in the evening.

What affects the price in River

Each event is quoted on its own, based on a few main things:

  • What’s on the menu
  • What the venue already provides
  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • The length of service

Extra dishes, drinks and longer service are priced on request, so you choose what goes in.

What we need to know

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what to include:

  • How we drive in and where we can park
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • A picture of the space, if it is a garden or field
  • The date and rough timings

Each quote is tailored to your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we will check availability at the same time.

Can I do a taco night myself?

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Read our guide to taco bars.

Weighing up a DIY taco night against a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.

Space, access and the venue

No two venues are the same, so we ask about the space before we confirm. In general, we need:

  • A spot away from buildings, windows and neighbours
  • Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking
  • Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly.

Perfect for your wedding in River

It suits outdoor and rustic venues, where a formal sit-down meal is harder to manage.

If you’re planning any of these, we can help:

  • Receptions after an intimate ceremony
  • Sharing-style wedding meals
  • Big weddings with every diet
  • Engagement parties

Couples who choose a church such as The Parish Church of St Peter for the ceremony often pick a reception spot a short drive away. Service can start as guests arrive.
