Wedding Mexican catering in Shreding Green, from our truck or trailer

The truck or trailer adds a splash of colour to the day, and guests like watching their food being served. It works well for rustic barn weddings and receptions after a small ceremony, with loaded nachos, burrito bowls and quesadillas.

Rural weddings around Shreding Green have a charm of their own, and tacos served from a truck in a field add to it. Plan access, ground and cover in case of rain. We serve from the hatch of our food truck or trailer, or from a serving station, and we plan the service around your numbers.

How it works

When we arrive, we position the truck or trailer and get the serving area ready. Service starts at the time we have agreed, so everything runs to your schedule. For a summer wedding in Shreding Green, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so evening tacos are generally served in daylight in high summer. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it is dark by about 3:55pm.

  1. We start by checking your date.
  2. You choose the fillings, sides and extras.
  3. We confirm the plan with your venue.
  4. Food is served from the taco bar or the hatch.
  5. After serving, we clear away.

How to prepare

  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely

  • The venue’s or landowner’s permission for a catering vehicle
  • Hardstanding or firm, level ground to park on
  • Space for guests to queue

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think before booking.

Menu ideas

Should I do it myself?

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the serving.

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Read our guide to taco bars.

Wedding Mexican catering or something else?

A taco bar is less formal than a plated meal, but it can still feel like a celebration. Extras, such as more dishes, extra drinks or a longer service, are quoted on request, so you can choose what you need.

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall with access for the truck or trailer. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

We confirm that with your quote. Let us know what the venue supplies and we will talk it through.

Yes, they’re part of the planning from the start. Tell us your numbers when you ask for a quote, and we’ll keep their options separate.

Do you cover Shreding Green?

Can you cater the whole day?

Yes. We can do a taco bar for the main meal and tacos or nachos for the evening.

How spicy is the food?

We can keep it mild, with hotter salsas on the side for anyone who wants more heat.

What if the weather’s bad?

The truck or trailer can serve in the rain, but your guests will want somewhere covered, such as a marquee, gazebo or nearby building.
