Wedding Mexican catering for South Bank events

Wedding Mexican catering in South Bank, from our truck or trailer

Wedding taco bars feel relaxed, generous and a little different. Guests build their own plates from warm tortillas, fillings, salsas and toppings, and the queue becomes a chance to chat. It works well for marquee and garden weddings and informal wedding breakfasts, serving burrito bowls, tacos and fresh guacamole and salsas.

London weddings around South Bank often mean a ceremony at a church or register office, then a reception at a hired venue. A food truck needs a courtyard or forecourt it can reach, so check vehicle access with the venue early. All of Greater London is inside the ULEZ, and parking needs planning. Everything is prepared fresh for your wedding and served from our truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.

What wedding Mexican catering costs

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Whether you need disposables
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • Staff for serving and the bar
  • Your choice of food and drinks

Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, as there is no kitchen to hire. Ask us for a quote.

Details that help

You do not need everything decided to ask for a quote, but it helps to know:

  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • The date and rough timings
  • Expected numbers
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both

Not sure what you need yet? That is fine: give us the basics about your wedding, and we’ll suggest a menu. To start, fill in our quote form.

Step by step

Service is quick and friendly: guests are served at the hatch or a serving station, so even a long queue moves. When service ends, we pack down. At midsummer, sunset in South Bank is about 9:20pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. Sunset is around 8:50pm in late May and 7:05pm in late September.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, day and evening numbers and your plans.
  2. You get a suggested wedding menu and a quote to match.
  3. We agree access, timings, power and water with you and your venue.
  4. On the day we set up and serve when your running order says.
  5. After the last serving, we clear our area.

Before we arrive

  • Tell us about narrow gates or low branches
  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready

Planning for every diet

Most events have a mix of diets. To cater well for them:

  • Include suppliers who need feeding
  • Have cover for guests if the weather turns
  • Enquire early for summer Saturdays
  • Put us in touch with your venue

We park where the venue agrees, ideally where guests can see us.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. Common snags are cold tortillas, uneven quantities and the host missing the party. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the serving.
