Wedding Mexican catering in Southwood

Wedding Mexican catering in Southwood, served fresh

For weddings in Southwood and nearby, we can cater one part of the day or both main meals. Share your plans and we will suggest a menu. At marquee and garden weddings and rustic barn weddings, we’ll put together a menu of a taco bar for the wedding breakfast, tacos and burrito bowls and more.

Weddings in a place like Southwood often feel personal: a local church, then a marquee in a garden or field. A truck or trailer parked by the marquee fits right in. Let us know about gates and ground for the truck or trailer. You’ll know what’s included before booking: the menu, the service time and any extras you choose.

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up in the kitchen. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Read our guide to taco bars.

For planners, venues and organisers

Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we will explain how it works. We are happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.

Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we will keep you updated on timings and set-up.

Southwood questions

Can you bring your truck or trailer to Ancells Farm Park?

Only if the landowner, often the council, allows it. Check with them, and we’ll provide what they ask for from us.

Can you cater a reception after a service at St John the Baptist?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

Do you need power and water?

That depends on the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Tell us what’s available at your venue.

Can you do gluten-free food?

Yes, we offer gluten-free options, made with corn tortillas. Let us know about coeliac guests in advance so we can explain how we prepare their food.

Is there a minimum number of guests?

It depends on the menu and how long service runs, but around 50 to 400 guests is the usual range. Tell us your numbers and we will advise.

Do you cater in Southwood?

Yes. We cover London and the South East, including Southwood and the rest of Hampshire. For a quote, fill in our quote form.

Do you give allergen information?

Yes. Tell us about allergies when you book. UK law requires caterers to provide information on 14 allergens, and we do that for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). For severe allergies, please talk to us first.

Who clears up?

We pack down and tidy our own area after service. Ask us if you’d like help with anything else.

How the day works

We work to your timings. If speeches run late or the photos take longer, let us know and we will adjust where we can. A winter wedding in Southwood gets dark early, at about 3:55pm in December, so evening guests will be queuing in the dark. Ask your venue what outdoor lighting it has near where we’ll park.

  1. Tell us the date, the venue, day and evening numbers and your plans.
  2. You get a suggested wedding menu and a quote to match.
  3. We agree access, timings, power and water with you and your venue.
  4. We arrive, set up and serve the food at the agreed times.
  5. We pack down after service and leave our area tidy.

Preparing for the day

  • Tell us about narrow gates or low branches
  • Let us know who to talk to on the day
  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely

Planning help

Planning for every diet

With a little notice, most diets are easy. Our advice:

  • Add your band and photographer to the numbers
  • Tell us about guests with coeliac disease or severe allergies
  • Enquire early for summer Saturdays
  • Count day and evening guests separately

If things run late, and we’ll move the serving time so the food is still hot.

A wider choice of salsas and toppings fills out the taco bar.

Space, access and the venue

Every venue is different, so we ask about the space when you get in touch. In general, we need:

  • Details of power and water on site, agreed when you book
  • A serving spot close to the marquee or reception area
  • A spot away from buildings, windows and neighbours

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Prices and what affects them

These are the factors that matter most:

  • Food, drinks or both
  • Parking and the route in
  • Timings and hours
  • The number of people

Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, as there is no kitchen to hire. Ask us for a quote.

What to tell us

You do not need every detail fixed to get a quote, but it helps to know:

  • Where the event is
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • Gate widths, slopes and the ground

Every quote is put together for your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we’ll check availability at the same time.
