Wedding Mexican catering in Wantage

Organising for someone else?

Events in public spaces, like parks, typically need permission. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we will keep everyone informed on the day.

Wedding Mexican catering in Wantage, served fresh

We can cater the wedding breakfast, the evening food or both. One option is a taco bar for the main meal and tacos or nachos later on. Popular choices include loaded nachos, evening tacos and burrito bowls, which works well for farm and barn venues and sharing-style wedding meals.

For a wedding in Wantage, a marquee in a family garden or a hall with a car park keeps things personal. Tacos for the wedding breakfast or the evening suit that kind of day. You can book food, drinks or both, so one caterer can cover more of the day.

Prices and what affects them

These are the factors that matter most:

  • The number of people
  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food

The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

What we need to know

Good planning starts with a few facts. Please include:

  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • The venue or postcode
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers

To get a price, just drop us a line using the enquiry form. Give us the details of your wedding, and we will put together a menu and price.

Catering for every guest

Most events have a mix of diets. To cater well for them:

  • Flag any coeliac guests or serious allergies
  • Ask whether your venue allows food trucks
  • Ask about diets and allergies with your RSVPs
  • Enquire early for summer Saturdays

We serve evening food when the running order says, often after the first dance.

Tell us if you need plates, cutlery or staff, and we will confirm what’s possible with your quote.

Our caterer checklist

Your questions about wedding Mexican catering in Wantage

Do you cater in the North Wessex Downs National Landscape?

Yes, though some venues in protected landscapes have extra rules; ask your venue. We’ll follow the site rules.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Peter and St Paul?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

Do you work with our venue?

Yes, it makes life easier. Put us in touch and we will agree the details.

Can guests build their own tacos?

Yes. We can set up a build-your-own taco bar, served from the truck or a serving table, with fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings.

What if our speeches run late?

We plan for it. Service starts when your running order says, even if that moves.

Can you do dairy-free food?

Yes. Dairy-free options are part of our menus, and we will tell you which dishes contain milk.

Can you cater for all our guests’ diets?

We can. There are vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free options, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests, plus allergen information for every dish.

When do you arrive?

We get there well before service to set up. Serving times are agreed with you in advance, along with pack-down.

How it works

We get there well before you want to serve, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. Guests come up to order when service opens. Golden-hour photos in Wantage at midsummer come around 9:25pm, so we can time the evening food around your photos. Sunset is around 9:00pm in late May and 7:10pm in late September.

  1. Tell us your date, venue and numbers.
  2. Together we plan the food for your day.
  3. Timings are agreed with your venue.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve on cue.
  5. We clear our area once service ends.

Preparing for the day

  • Get the venue’s permission for us to park and serve
  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Share the running order, including any speeches

Can I do a taco night myself?

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.

What we need at the venue

We will be honest if a space will not work, and help find another spot. The main points are:

  • A serving point within easy walk of the reception
  • A route in that is wide and tall enough, with soft ground checked in advance
  • A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue

If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.
