Prices and what affects them

Contact us for a quote, and the price is based on:

  • Parking and the route in
  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • The menu you choose
  • Whether you need disposables

The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, plus any add-ons and the location. We quote for each event individually.

Getting an accurate quote

You don’t need everything decided to ask for a quote, but these help:

  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • What you’d like on the menu
  • What power and water the site has
  • The date and rough timings

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: venue, timings, menu ideas and access. To send your details, fill in our quote form.

Mexican catering in Beaulieu, served fresh

We plan each menu with the client, so fillings might include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga or beef birria, and vegan options like spiced mushrooms or black beans. On the menu are burrito bowls, burritos and a build-your-own taco bar, and it suits fundraisers and school events and milestone birthdays.

In a hamlet or village like Beaulieu, your own garden or a neighbour’s field can make a good venue. Mention gates and soft ground when you contact us. Access, space and power are agreed with you beforehand, so set-up goes smoothly.

How it compares

A drop-off platter is easy, but nobody remembers it. Hot food served from a truck feels like part of the event. Extra dishes, drinks and longer service are priced on request, so you can choose what you need.

Why us?

  • We cover Beaulieu and the whole of Hampshire
  • A menu built around your guests
  • Every guest catered for, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free included
  • Everything served fresh from the hatch

Take a look at our pricing or the cost guide.

Diets, allergies and planning

A Mexican menu is easy to plan for mixed diets, because options can be kept separate. A few tips:

  • Ask guests about diets and allergies with your invitations
  • Let us know if a guest is coeliac
  • Tell us how many children are coming
  • Think about cover for guests in wet weather

We work around your timings, and adapt if they move.

Extra salsas and toppings can widen the choice.

Step by step

Once service is over, we pack up and leave our area tidy. Set-up and pack-down times are agreed with you and the venue. In Beaulieu, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:10pm in late September, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. In December it is dark by about 4:00pm, so winter events need lighting around the truck and the queue.

  1. First, send us a few details about your event.
  2. We suggest fillings and extras and send a quote.
  3. Access, the serving spot, power and water are agreed in advance.
  4. We arrive, set up and serve from the hatch.
  5. We pack down after service and leave the area tidy.

Getting ready for the day

  • Arrange somewhere covered for guests to eat
  • Ask the venue about power and water
  • Name one person we can ask on the day

Organising for someone else?

Events in public spaces, like parks, generally need permission. We can send what the landowner or council needs from us.

If you’re booking for a business, tell us what your finance team needs, and we will explain how it works. We’re happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.

Beaulieu: your questions answered

Do you cater in the New Forest National Park?

We do, where the venue allows a catering vehicle. Lanes can be narrow and ground soft, so tell us how we’d get in.

We’re having a ceremony at Church of the Blessed Virgin and Child: can you cater afterwards?

Yes. The church itself isn’t where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Is the food made fresh?

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. Tortillas are warmed on site, and salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

Do you have gluten-free options?

Yes, with corn tortillas. Corn tortillas are naturally gluten-free, but some fillings, sauces and toppings may not be, so we check every dish and give allergen information.

Do you provide plates and napkins?

Ask us when you enquire. Tell us what your venue provides, and we will set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.

Do you cover Beaulieu?

We do. Beaulieu is one of the places we cover. Tell us your date and we’ll check availability.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes, and we plan them in from the start. Let us know how many vegetarian and vegan guests to expect.

Can you keep it mild?

That is your choice: we can keep it mild and put the hotter salsas on the side.

What we need at the venue

We’ll be honest if a space won’t work. What matters most:

  • Some distance from houses and neighbours
  • Clear vehicle access: gate widths, height limits and the ground checked before the day
  • Space for a taco-bar table if you’ve chosen one

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise before you book.
