What Mexican catering costs

Each event is quoted on its own, and the price depends on a few things:

  • What the venue already provides
  • Serving staff
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • Timings and hours

There is no one-size-fits-all price for Mexican catering. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Contact us for a quote.

What we need to know

To check availability and price, we need:

  • The date and time of the event
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • The address or venue name
  • A photo of the space, if it is a garden or field

Most quotes start with a few simple details: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. To send them, fill in our quote form.

How our Mexican catering works in Brockham

Mexican street food makes mixed diets simple. We plan vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free options, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests, and we give allergen information for every dish. At retirement and leaving parties and charity and school events, we’ll put together a menu of a build-your-own taco bar, tacos and burritos and more.

For a rural spot like Brockham, fields and drives need a little planning: the gate, the ground and the route from the lane. We confirm power and water arrangements with you before the day. Every guest is catered for, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free included, with allergen information for everything we serve.

Questions to ask before booking

Questions from Brockham

What’s the nearest station to Brockham for guests?

Guests can use Betchworth station, about 1.1 miles north-east of Brockham.

How far is Brockham from London?

Roughly 20 miles from the centre of London, and we cover it.

How spicy is the food?

That’s your choice: we can keep the main dishes mild, with hotter salsas served separately. Read more about how spicy Mexican food is.

Do you cater for vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free guests?

We can. We plan vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free options, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests. We give allergen information for every dish.

What if the weather’s bad?

Rain doesn’t generally stop service from the truck or trailer. Plan cover for guests, such as a marquee or gazebo, and tell us if heavy rain could make the ground soft.

How much does Mexican catering cost in Brockham?

It depends on guest numbers, the menu, the length of service and the location. Contact us for a quote.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

Ask us when you enquire. Tell us what your venue provides, and we will set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.

How big an event can you cater?

That depends on the menu and the service time, but around 50 to 400 guests is the usual range. For anything outside that, ask us.

How it compares

Burgers and pizza are what guests often expect. Mexican street food stands out, while still being easy food most people enjoy. Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, plus any add-ons and the location. We quote for each event individually.

Organising for someone else?

Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we’ll explain how it works. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can check the date.

What happens on the day

We get there well before you want to serve, then set up and prepare everything. When service opens, guests come up to the hatch or serving table. In Brockham, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. For winter events, when it is dark by about 3:55pm, plan lighting where guests queue and eat.

  1. It begins with the basics: your date, venue, guest numbers and dietary needs.
  2. You get a suggested menu, with fillings agreed with you, and a quote.
  3. Before the day, we agree access, the serving spot, power and water.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve from the truck or trailer, or from a taco-bar station.
  5. After service, we clear away and leave the spot tidy.

How to prepare

  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
  • Let us know the timings for the day
  • Name one person we can ask on the day

Can I do a taco night myself?

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.

Plenty of people try a DIY taco night at home. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

  • Served from our truck or trailer at your venue, garden or event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options, with allergen information
  • Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
  • Mexican drinks bar: margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas
