Mexican catering for Brooklands events

Mexican catering in Brooklands, from our food truck or trailer

Mobile Mexican catering means the kitchen comes to you: our food truck or trailer parks at your venue and we serve hot food straight from the hatch. No kitchen is needed on site. It works well for summer garden parties and charity and school events, serving burritos, quesadillas and loaded nachos.

In and around Brooklands, gardens and local halls are common choices. If the road in is narrow or the ground is soft, tell us so we can plan for the truck or trailer. Access, space and power are agreed with you beforehand, so set-up goes smoothly.

Brooklands: venues, access and local tips

Brooklands is about 1 mile south-west of Weybridge, in Surrey. Tell us where your event in Brooklands will be, and we will plan access and set-up. We serve in 395 places across Surrey, wherever the truck or trailer can get in. We cater right across the region, from Brooklands to Guildford (about 9 miles away).

A gathering in Woburn Park would need the park owner’s say-so for any catering vehicle, and that is worth sorting out early. By road, Brooklands is on or near the B374, which makes it easy for us to reach with the truck or trailer.

We cater events across KT13 and KT14 and the streets around it. Streets in the area include Segrave Close, Railton Close and Locke King Road, and an event on any of them can work if the truck or trailer can park nearby. Brooklands sits on or near the B374, which makes travel to your event easy. Nearby, we also cater events in St George's Hill (1 mile north-east), Byfleet (1 mile south), Weybridge (1 mile north-east), New Haw (1 mile west) and Whiteley Village (1 mile east). We also cater in nearby towns such as Guildford (9 miles south-west), Woking (5 miles south-west), Camberley (12 miles west), Epsom (8 miles east), Redhill (15 miles south-east) and Ewell (9 miles east).

  • Nearby schools include Manby Lodge Infant School (1.1 miles north-east) and St George's College Weybridge (1.1 miles north-west)
  • Local pubs include The Waverley Inn (0.8 miles north)

Prices and what affects them

Two events with the same number of guests can cost different amounts, because of:

  • Travel, parking and access
  • The menu you choose
  • The length of service
  • Food, drinks or both

If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we will suggest a menu that fits. A simple menu can still feel generous.

Getting an accurate quote

These details help us quote quickly:

  • The venue or postcode
  • A photo of the space, if it’s a garden or field
  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers

We need only a few details to quote: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. To send them, tell us about it on our contact page.

What’s on the menu

Burritos and burrito bowls

Rice, beans, a filling and toppings rolled in a large tortilla, or the same served in a bowl.

Salsas and guacamole

Every taco needs salsa and guacamole.

Diets, allergies and planning

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Send allergy details to us in writing
  • Tell us what other food is being served
  • Think about cover for guests in wet weather
  • Let us know if a guest is coeliac

Allergen information is on hand for every dish, so guests can check before they order.

Quesadillas go down well with children.

Questions from Brooklands

Is it possible to have you in Woburn Park?

Only with permission from whoever runs the park, often the council. Ask them first, and we will help with the information they need from us.

What’s the nearest station to Brooklands for guests?

Weybridge station, in Brooklands itself.

How long do you serve for?

That depends on your event and menu. We agree arrival, service and pack-down times with you so everything fits your schedule.

Do you take everything away?

We pack down and leave our area tidy. Let us know the venue’s rules on waste and we will talk it through.

Do you give allergen information?

Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, and give allergen information for every dish. We keep options separate, but we can’t promise anything is completely allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

Can guests build their own tacos?

Yes. A build-your-own taco bar can be served from the truck or a serving station, with fillings, salsas and toppings to choose from.

What guest numbers do you cater for?

That depends on the event. As a guide, it’s around 50 to 400 guests; tell us your numbers and we will plan around them.

Can you keep it mild?

We can keep it mild, with hotter salsas on the side for anyone who wants more heat.

What we need at the venue

If a space is not suitable, we will tell you, and suggest an alternative. The main points are:

  • Details of power and water on site, agreed when you book
  • Some distance from houses and neighbours
  • Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first

If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and the way in, and we will say what we think.

What we offer

  • Burritos
  • Loaded nachos
  • Quesadillas
  • Tacos
  • Build-your-own taco bar
  • Burrito bowls

DIY taco night or a caterer?

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

If you do it yourself, work out quantities first: our guide to how many tacos per person helps. Keep tortillas warm in a covered basket, and label dishes for guests with allergies.

For planners, venues and organisers

For big numbers, we plan service to keep queues short, so guests are looked after quickly. Tell us how long you have for food and drinks.

If you’re organising for someone else, whether you’re a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we are happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It saves passing messages back and forth.

How it works

We need a level, firm spot we can drive the truck or trailer onto, with power and water arrangements agreed beforehand. Send us a photo of the space if you are unsure. Evenings in Brooklands stay light until about 9:20pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:05pm. For anything running past sunset, think about lights near the hatch.

  1. Get in touch with the basics: when, where and how many.
  2. We come back with menu ideas and a quote.
  3. Nearer the date, we go over the final plan.
  4. At the agreed time, service starts from the truck or trailer.
  5. When you are done, we pack away.

How to prepare

  • Plan a covered area for guests if rain is likely
  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to park

How to get a price

Every quote is put together for your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we’ll check availability at the same time.
