Mexican catering in Broomfield

Mexican catering in Broomfield, from our truck or trailer

With mobile Mexican catering, we bring the kitchen with us: we park our truck or trailer on site and serve hot food from it. No kitchen is needed on site. For anniversaries and engagements and fundraisers and school events, we can serve burritos, quesadillas and loaded nachos.

Somewhere as small as Broomfield, a garden or field is often the venue. Country lanes, long drives and gates are fine if we know about them, and firm ground matters, especially after rain. We plan the timings around your day, whether that’s speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

How the day works

Serving is quick: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so a crowd is looked after quickly. Afterwards we clear our area. Winter evenings in Broomfield close in by about 3:50pm, so a well-lit spot for the queue makes a big difference. In late June, by contrast, daylight lasts until about 9:15pm.

  1. Get in touch with the basics: when, where and how many.
  2. Expect a suggested menu and a quote.
  3. Closer to the day, we confirm timings and arrangements.
  4. At the agreed time, service starts from the truck or trailer.
  5. We pack away when service is over.

How to prepare

Broomfield questions

Do you come to events in the Kent Downs National Landscape?

We do, where the venue allows a catering vehicle. Lanes can be narrow and ground soft, so tell us how we’d get in.

Could you serve our guests after a service at Church of St Margaret?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

How many guests can you serve?

Truck and trailer service generally suits around 50 to 400 guests. Smaller parties are quoted case by case, and festivals can be larger. Tell us your numbers.

Is the food made fresh?

We cook to order in our food truck or trailer kitchen, or serve from a taco bar. Slow-cooked fillings are prepared in advance and kept hot on site.

Can you cater in a back garden?

Yes, as long as there’s access and a level, firm spot. Send us a photo of the access and the space.

What is mobile Mexican catering?

We park our truck or trailer at your venue and serve hot Mexican street food from it. You can also have a build-your-own taco bar.

Can we have a build-your-own taco bar?

We can. We can set up a build-your-own taco bar, served from the truck or a serving table, with fillings, salsas and toppings to choose from.

Do you cater in Broomfield?

Yes. We cover London and the South East, including Broomfield. To check your date, fill in our quote form.

For planners, venues and organisers

Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we will keep you updated on timings and set-up.

Throwing a party at home? Send a photo of the space and tell us about access, and we’ll let you know if it’s a good fit.

What affects the price in Broomfield

Each event is quoted on its own, based on a few main things:

  • What the venue already provides
  • How many staff you need
  • Timings and hours
  • The number of people

The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, plus any add-ons and the location. We quote for each event individually.

Getting an accurate quote

Here’s what makes a quick, accurate quote possible:

  • Expected numbers
  • The address or venue name
  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • What you’d like on the menu

Send us the date, your venue or ME17 postcode and guest numbers, along with any dietary needs, and we will reply with a menu suggestion and a quote. To get started, send a quick message through our quote form.

Diets, allergies and planning

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Count children separately
  • Ensure the menu has a vegan option
  • Send allergy details to us in writing
  • Guests with serious allergies should speak to us in advance

Rain doesn’t stop us serving from the truck or trailer, though guests need somewhere under cover to eat.

Burrito bowls suit guests who’d rather skip the tortilla.

Events we cater in Broomfield

Tacos and burritos go down well with most crowds: it is familiar, filling and easy to eat standing up or sitting down.

Here are some of the events we cater in Broomfield and Kent:

  • Engagement celebrations
  • Charity and school events
  • Family gatherings and christenings
  • Garden get-togethers

When the service is at a church such as Church of St Margaret, the food generally happens elsewhere, at a field, hall or garden with room for the truck.

Our caterer checklist

DIY taco night versus a caterer

Some hosts like to do it themselves. The usual problems are cold tortillas, running out of a popular filling and a host stuck at the stove. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us serve.

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Read our guide to taco bars.

Before you choose a spot

Plenty of outdoor spaces and venues work for us, but there are a few things to check:

  • Power and water, which we confirm with you for each booking
