Choosing a Mexican caterer

Mexican catering in Castle Green, served fresh

We slow-cook the fillings ahead and finish them on site, and the salsas and guacamole are freshly made. We warm the tortillas as each order goes out. On the menu are a build-your-own taco bar, burrito bowls and quesadillas, which works well for summer garden parties and anniversaries and engagements.

Events in Castle Green are often in courtyards, office forecourts, hired venues and gardens with side access. If the garden is only reached through the house, a spot on the drive or the street may work, with permission. Send us a picture of the access. Your quote sets out what’s included: menu, timings and any add-ons.

Planning for every diet

Most events have a mix of diets. To plan for them:

  • Include at least one vegan filling
  • Put guests with severe allergies in touch with us early
  • Put any allergies in writing for us
  • Tell us what other food is being served

Once everyone has eaten, we tidy up and pack away.

A tray of loaded nachos works well to start.

Your questions about Mexican catering in Castle Green

Could you serve in Mayesbrook Park?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we will send what they need from us.

Is parking a problem for events in Castle Green?

It can be tricky, so tell us about parking bays, permits or a driveway. A parking suspension may be needed, and the whole of Greater London is inside the ULEZ.

Can you serve in the rain?

Rain does not normally stop service from the truck or trailer. It’s worth planning a covered area for guests, and let us know if the ground gets soft after heavy rain.

Do you cater for big events?

Our service usually suits around 50 to 400 guests. Festivals can be bigger, and smaller parties are quoted case by case.

How does your Mexican catering work?

We arrive with our own mobile kitchen. We set up at your venue, serve hot food to order and pack down afterwards.

Is the food made fresh?

We cook to order in our truck or trailer kitchen, or serve from a taco bar. Fillings are slow-cooked beforehand and finished on site.

Can you plan for allergies?

Yes. Tell us about allergies when you book. UK law requires caterers to provide information on 14 allergens, and we do that for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). For severe allergies, please talk to us first.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes, they’re part of the planning from the start. Let us know how many vegetarian and vegan guests to expect, and we’ll keep their options separate.

Where the truck can go in Castle Green

We’ll be honest if a space will not work. The main points are:

  • Hardstanding or firm, level ground to park on
  • A spot away from buildings, windows and neighbours
  • A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue

London streets around Castle Green can be narrow and busy, and all of Greater London sits inside the ULEZ. Tell us about loading, permits and any parking suspension when you enquire.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise.

Comparing your options

Next to a hog roast or a barbecue, Mexican street food is easier for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests, because fillings and toppings are kept separate. Extra dishes, drinks and longer service are priced on request, so you can choose what you need.

Why book with us

  • A menu agreed with you
  • A plan agreed before the day
  • Fast service, even with a queue
  • Options for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests

What Mexican catering costs

Your quote will be clear. The main things that affect it are:

  • Timings and hours
  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • What the venue already provides
  • Guest numbers

Pricing depends on the event. A short lunch service for a team is a different job from a full wedding day. Your quote sets it all out.

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what’s useful:

  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both

How the day works

It is a relaxed, well-organised set-up. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, get the serving area ready, and get on with serving. A December event in Castle Green will be in the dark from about 3:50pm, so a well-lit spot for the queue makes a big difference. At midsummer, the light holds until around 9:20pm.

  2. You get a sample menu and a quote.
  3. We agree access, the serving spot, power and water.
  4. We arrive, set up and serve from the hatch.
  5. We pack down after service and leave the area tidy.
