Mexican catering in Christmas Pie

For planners, venues and organisers

If you are planning an event on someone’s behalf, whether you’re a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we are happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It saves passing messages back and forth.

Planning an event for a club, school or charity in Christmas Pie? Service from a truck or trailer is quick, even for a crowd, and the menu can suit most diets. Give us the details and we will suggest a plan.

How our Mexican catering works in Christmas Pie

Mexican street food makes mixed diets simple. We plan gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests, and allergen information is available for every dish. It works well for garden get-togethers and retirement and leaving parties, with tacos, loaded nachos and fresh salsas and guacamole.

For a rural spot like Christmas Pie, fields and drives need a little planning: the gate, the ground and the route from the lane. We confirm power and water arrangements with you before the day. We cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests, with allergen information for everything we serve.

What happens on the day

It is a relaxed, well-organised set-up. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, get the serving area ready, and serve without fuss. Daylight in Christmas Pie runs to about 8:55pm in late May and 7:05pm in late September. Let us know if service will run after dark, and we will talk about lighting.

  1. Share the date, the venue and how many are coming.
  2. Together we plan a menu around your guests’ diets.
  3. We check the route in and where the truck or trailer will stand.
  4. Food is served from the hatch or a taco-bar table.
  5. After the last serving, we clear our area.

How to compare caterers

DIY taco night versus a caterer

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone has to serve all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.

Planning for every diet

We take diets and allergies seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Include at least one vegan filling
  • Think about cover for guests in wet weather
  • Add a dietary question to your RSVP
  • Count children separately

Guests order at the hatch and we serve them there and then, so everything goes out hot.

Quesadillas go down well with children, because they’re simple.

What we need at the venue

Before the day, we’ll agree where we park and serve. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • A sensible distance from buildings and neighbours
  • Access wide and high enough to drive in, with gates and soft lawns checked first
  • Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly.
