Mexican catering near Normandy

About our Mexican catering in Normandy

Mexican street food makes mixed diets simple. We plan vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free options, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests, and we give allergen information for every dish. It works well for engagement and anniversary parties and school fairs and fundraisers, with burritos, quesadillas and burrito bowls.

For a rural spot like Normandy, fields and drives need a little planning: the gate, the ground and the route from the lane. Power and water may be limited, so we confirm the arrangements with you. Everything is prepared fresh for your event and served from our truck or trailer.

Planners, venues and businesses

If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, whether you’re a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It keeps things simple.

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we will follow them.

Can I do a taco night myself?

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party serving. Booking a caterer means you can relax with everyone else.

How we price Mexican catering

We will give you a clear quote. The main things that affect it are:

  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • The menu you choose
  • The number of people
  • Timings and hours

Access, parking and the distance to your venue can affect the price, so it helps to tell us about your venue. The full price is confirmed in your quote.

What we need to know

The more we know about your event, the better we can plan. Try to include:

  • Expected numbers
  • Your menu ideas
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and allergy numbers
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground

Every event is quoted individually, based on what you need. To ask for one, send a quick message through our quote form.

Planning for every diet

With a little notice, most diets are easy. We suggest:

  • Put guests with severe allergies in touch with us early
  • Give us separate numbers for children
  • Tell us what other food is being served
  • Collect dietary needs when guests reply

We arrive early enough to set up calmly. All we need is someone to show us the agreed spot.

Margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas can be added from our drinks bar, with licensing checked with you.

The process

We take care of everything you’ve booked, from set-up to service, so you can enjoy your event. Around midsummer it stays light in Normandy until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so summer evening events are typically served in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:55pm, so winter events need lighting around the truck and the queue.

  1. First, send us your date, venue, numbers and any diets we should know about.
  2. We suggest a sample menu and send a quote for your event.
  3. Together we confirm where the truck or trailer will park, plus power and water.
  4. On the day, we set up and serve from the truck or trailer, or from a taco-bar station.
  5. Once everyone has eaten, we tidy our serving area and head off.

Where the truck can go in Normandy

We’ll be honest if a space will not work, and suggest an alternative. What matters most:

  • Room for a serving table for the taco bar
  • A clear area in front of the hatch for a queue
  • A flat, firm spot where the truck or trailer can stand

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise.

Catering an event in Normandy

Normandy is about 4 miles east of Aldershot, in Surrey. We bring Mexican catering to gardens, halls and venues around Normandy and nearby villages. We cover all 395 towns and villages in Surrey, wherever the truck or trailer can get in.

A school such as Wyke Primary School running a summer fair or fundraiser could book a taco truck. If you are celebrating after a service at a church like Church of St Mark, a truck or trailer parked at a hall or garden close by can serve the meal.

Streets in the area include Manor Farm Close, Guildford Road and Milton Close, and an event on any of them can work if the truck or trailer can park nearby. Common questions in Normandy

We are having a ceremony at Church of St Mark: can you cater afterwards?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.

Which station is closest to Normandy?

The closest is Wanborough station, roughly 0.7 miles away.

Can you do dairy-free food?

Yes. Dairy-free options are part of our menus, and we’ll tell you which dishes contain milk.

Do you take everything away?

We pack down and tidy our own area after service. Ask us if you’d like help with anything else.

Can you set up at our venue?

Tell us about the venue and the way in, and we’ll check it works. We also need room for a queue.

Can you serve in the rain?

We can keep serving from the truck or trailer in the rain, but your guests will want somewhere covered, like a marquee or gazebo.

When should we book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Even if it is short notice, it is worth asking.

Do you cater in Normandy?

Yes. We cover London and the South East, including Normandy and the rest of Surrey. To check your date, send us your details through our quote form.
