About our Mexican catering in East Dean
Mixed diets are easy to plan with Mexican street food. There are gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests, and allergen information is available for every dish. For markets and community events and engagement and anniversary parties, we will put together a menu of tacos, burrito bowls and quesadillas for your guests.
For a rural spot like East Dean, fields and drives need a little planning: the gate, the ground and the route from the lane. We confirm power and water arrangements with you before the day. You’ll know what’s included before you book: menu, timings and any add-ons.

The menu, item by item
Salsas and guacamole
Every taco needs salsa and guacamole, and guests add as much as they like.

Dietary needs and planning tips
Every guest is catered for, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free included. To make it work smoothly:
- Ask the venue whether food trucks are allowed
- Tell us how many children are coming
- Flag anyone with coeliac disease
- Confirm allergies by email before the event
We can still serve from the hatch if it rains, though guests need somewhere under cover to eat.
Ask us about plates, cutlery and serving staff and we will confirm what’s possible with your quote.
What Mexican catering costs
Pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:
- What’s on the menu
- Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
- Whether you need disposables
- Serving staff
Catering from a truck or trailer can be a practical alternative to a sit-down meal, because it needs no venue kitchen. Ask us for a quote.
What we need to know
You do not need every detail fixed to get a quote, but it helps to know:
- Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
- A picture of where we’d park
- Roughly how many adults and children
- Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground
Still deciding on the menu? No problem: tell us about the occasion and the guests, and we will make suggestions. When you are ready, send us your details through our quote form.

East Dean questions
How far is East Dean from central London?
Roughly 53 miles from the centre of London, and we cover it.
Do you come out to small places like East Dean?
Yes. Villages and hamlets are part of our area, and the main thing is access: tell us about the lane, the gate and the ground.
What space do you need?
Send us details of the venue and the access, and we will confirm what we need. We also need room for a queue.
Do you cater for coeliacs?
Yes, with corn tortillas. Corn tortillas are naturally gluten-free, but some fillings, sauces and toppings may not be, so we plan gluten-free dishes carefully and give allergen information.
Is the food suitable for children?
Yes. We can keep dishes mild, and simple options such as quesadillas or nachos can be part of the menu. Tell us how many children are coming.
How does mobile Mexican catering work?
We park our truck or trailer at your venue and serve hot Mexican street food from it. You can also have a build-your-own taco bar.
Do you cater for vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free guests?
Diets are planned in advance, with options kept separate, but we can’t promise a kitchen without traces of any allergen. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.
What’s on the menu?
Every menu is agreed with you. Fillings could include slow-cooked pork carnitas, chicken tinga, beef birria and vegan options such as spiced mushrooms or black beans. See our menu for ideas.

Guests arriving by train will find that Eastbourne station is about 3.4 miles away. East Dean is within about 4 miles of the South Downs National Park, with country venues and gardens that can suit a food truck. Some venues in protected landscapes have rules about vehicles and catering, so check with yours. With the sea within about 4 miles, a beach-side event might appeal. Promenades and beaches typically need permission, and the truck or trailer has to park on firm ground, not sand.

Comparing your options
With a barbecue, someone typically ends up stuck at the grill. Book us and the cooking happens in our truck or trailer, so you can enjoy your event. There’s no one-size-fits-all price for Mexican catering. A simple party menu and a full wedding day are very different jobs. Contact us for a quote.

Can I do a taco night myself?
A DIY taco night is possible for a crowd, but it is more work than it looks. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.
For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, with allergen information for every dish.
For planners, venues and organisers
Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we will keep you updated on timings and set-up.
If you are organising for someone else, whether you’re a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we will work directly with you and the venue. It keeps things simple.
