Planning an event in Eastwood?

What Mexican catering costs

Every event is priced individually, based on a few main things:

  • Adding food to drinks, or drinks to food
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • How long we are needed on site
  • The menu you choose

When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: serving hours, staff, disposables, travel and VAT. Contact us for a quote and we’ll set out what’s included.

Details that help

These details help us quote quickly:

  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • Expected numbers
  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both

We quote for each event separately, so the price fits what you actually want. For a quote, tell us about it on our contact page.

Mexican catering for your event in Eastwood

The menu starts with tacos: warmed tortillas, a choice of fillings, and salsas, guacamole and toppings to finish. We can add burritos, burrito bowls, nachos and quesadillas. For garden parties and markets and community events, we can serve loaded nachos, a build-your-own taco bar and fresh salsas and guacamole and more.

Somewhere as small as Eastwood, a garden or field is often the venue. Country lanes, long drives and gates are fine if we know about them, and firm ground matters, especially after rain. We arrive ready to serve, and clear our own area when service is finished.

Your questions about Mexican catering in Eastwood

Do you come to events in the Kent Downs National Landscape?

We do, where the venue allows a catering vehicle. Lanes can be narrow and ground soft, so tell us how we’d get in.

What’s the nearest station to Eastwood for guests?

Guests can use Harrietsham station, about 2.8 miles north of Eastwood.

What are your prices?

We don’t publish set prices, because every event is different. Tell us your numbers and plans and we will send a quote for your event.

Is the food suitable for children?

Yes, children are easy to plan for. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we will suggest mild options.

What access do you need?

The main things are access and a level spot: a level spot to park, space for guests to queue and a little room for a serving table. Send us a picture and tell us about gates, slopes and soft ground.

Do you provide drinks?

Yes, we do. The drinks bar can be added to food or booked on its own. We will check the licensing for alcohol with you.

Do you cater for vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free guests?

We can. We plan vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free options, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests. We give allergen information for every dish.

Do you need power and water?

Let us know what’s available on site, such as a supply from the venue near where we’ll park, and we will confirm the arrangements with your quote.

Mexican catering around Eastwood

Eastwood is about 7 miles south-east of Maidstone, in Kent. From the centre of Eastwood to the outskirts, Mexican catering works the same way: a truck or trailer at your event, options for every diet and a clear price. We cater in all 922 towns and villages across Kent, wherever the truck or trailer can get in. Our truck and trailer cover the area from Eastwood to Canterbury (about 19 miles away).

Close to Eastwood are historic houses such as Leeds Castle (3.4 miles north-west) and Stoneacre (4.9 miles north-west). Venues like these often limit where vehicles can go, so ask about access before you book one. For a fête or sports day at a school such as Ulcombe Church of England Primary School, hot food from a truck or trailer saves the volunteers from cooking. Venues in and around the Kent Downs National Landscape, within about 5 miles of Eastwood, sometimes limit where vehicles can go. Ask yours about access for a truck or trailer before booking.

Here we cover the ME17 postcode area, and we can cater your event anywhere in it with access for the truck or trailer. Nearby, we also cater events in Broadstone (1 mile south-east), Grafty Green (1 mile east), Ulcombe (1 mile north-west), Fairbourne Heath (1 mile north) and Liverton Street (1 mile north-east). Larger places within reach include Maidstone (7 miles north-west), Ashford (10 miles south-east), Sittingbourne (10 miles north), Faversham (12 miles north-east), Kings Hill (12 miles north-west) and Davington (12 miles north-east).

Other landmarks nearby include The Dog Collar Museum (3.2 miles north-west) and Coldbridge Castle (1.6 miles east).

Dietary needs and planning tips

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Here’s how:

  • Ask guests with severe allergies to talk to us before the event
  • Confirm allergies by email before the event
  • Plan somewhere covered for guests to eat if it rains
  • Mention any other caterers or courses

Rain does not stop us serving from the truck or trailer, though guests need somewhere under cover to eat.

Loaded nachos make a good sharing starter.

Organising for someone else?

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can plan ahead.

Hosting a party at home? Send a photo of the space and tell us about access, and we will tell you honestly whether a truck or trailer will fit.

Mexican catering or something else?

Next to a hog roast or a barbecue, Mexican street food is easier for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests, because fillings and toppings are kept separate. Your choice of food and drinks affects the price, so tell us what you have in mind. We’ll suggest options to suit your budget.

Why book with us

  • Book food, drinks or both
  • Set-up planned with you and your venue
  • A clear quote
  • Service planned around your numbers

The process

Once service is over, we pack up and leave our area tidy. We agree set-up and pack-down times with you and your venue. Around midsummer it stays light in Eastwood until about 9:15pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:00pm, so summer evening events are typically served in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:50pm, so winter events need lighting around the truck and the queue.

  1. It begins with the basics: your date, venue, guest numbers and dietary needs.
  2. You get a suggested menu, with fillings agreed with you, and a quote.
  3. Together we confirm where the truck or trailer will park, plus power and water.
  4. We arrive, set up and cook to order, with salsas and guacamole made fresh.
  5. After service, we clear away and leave the spot tidy.

Preparing for the day

  • Check the venue is happy to have a truck or trailer on site
  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
  • Choose a level, firm spot for the truck or trailer
