Mexican catering in Egypt, served fresh

Food from a truck or trailer feels relaxed. People wander up, order at the hatch and head off with hot food, which suits informal events. It suits birthday parties and family celebrations, serving quesadillas, fresh salsas and guacamole and loaded nachos.

For a rural spot like Egypt, fields and drives need a little planning: gate widths, soft ground and the distance from the road all matter. We confirm power and water arrangements with you before the day. We prepare everything fresh for your event and serve it straight from our truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.

Why choose Mexican catering in Egypt?

It handles mixed diets without fuss, because guests choose their own fillings and toppings. Vegetarian and vegan guests get a proper meal, not an afterthought.

Here are some of the events we cater in Egypt and Hampshire:

  • Office lunches and team days
  • Engagement and anniversary parties
  • Garden parties
  • Fundraisers and school events

When the service is at a church such as Ebenezer Methodist Chapel, the food typically happens elsewhere, at a field, hall or garden with room for the truck.

Before booking anyone

  • What the caterer needs from your venue
  • Whether plates, napkins and cutlery are included
  • The wet-weather plan

Questions to ask before you book

Egypt questions

We’re having a ceremony at Ebenezer Methodist Chapel: can you cater afterwards?

Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we will check the access.

Do you cater in villages like Egypt?

Yes, we cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Tell us about lanes, gates, ground and parking.

Do you clear up afterwards?

Our area is packed away and left tidy. Let us know the venue’s rules on waste and we will talk it through.

Do you need electricity?

It depends on the event and the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Let us know whether there is a supply near where we’ll park.

Do you do parties at home?

Yes, if the truck or trailer can get in and park on level, firm ground. Send us a photo of the access and the space.

What food do you serve?

Tacos, build-your-own taco bars, burritos, burrito bowls, loaded nachos and quesadillas, with salsas, guacamole and toppings. See our sample menu.

Do you have options for kids?

Yes, children are easy to plan for. Let us know numbers and ages, and we’ll plan the menu with them in mind.

Do you provide allergen information for each dish?

We plan allergen-aware menus, including for nut allergies, and give allergen information for every dish. We plan carefully and keep options separate, though we can’t promise a dish is allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.

Planners, venues and businesses

For big numbers, we plan service to keep queues short, so guests are looked after quickly. Let us know how long the break is.

Hosting a party at home? Send us a photo of the space and tell us about the drive and gates, and we’ll let you know if it is a good fit.

Catering for every guest

Mixed diets are straightforward to plan for, because guests can choose what suits them. Here are a few tips for planning:

  • Ask guests about diets and allergies with your invitations
  • Flag anyone with coeliac disease
  • Have a covered area ready in case of rain
  • Ensure the menu has a vegan option

We arrive early enough to set up calmly. Someone from the venue just needs to point us to the agreed spot.

Add our Mexican drinks bar, with margaritas, Mexican beer and aguas frescas, with licensing checked with you.

Comparing your options

Sit-down meals need a kitchen, tables and more staff. A food truck or trailer is its own kitchen, and needs a suitable spot, safe access and the venue’s agreement. What’s on the menu makes a difference to the total, so share your ideas with us. Tell us your budget and we will suggest a menu.

Salsas and guacamole

What we need at the venue

Everything is served from our food truck or trailer, so where we park matters. These are the things we check:

  • Details of power and water on site, agreed when you book
  • Space for guests to queue
  • A spot for a taco-bar serving table

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise before you book.

The process

A typical event goes like this: we park up and get ready, we open the hatch when you’re ready, and your guests are served fresh for the agreed time. Around midsummer it stays light in Egypt until about 9:25pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:10pm, so summer evening events are generally served in daylight. For winter events, when it is dark by about 4:00pm, plan lighting where guests queue and eat.

  1. You tell us the date, the venue, rough guest numbers and any dietary needs.
  2. We put together a menu around your guests and quote for it.
  3. We check access, power and water with you or the venue.
  4. We arrive, set up and cook to order, with salsas and guacamole made fresh.
  5. After service, we clear away and leave the spot tidy.

How to prepare

  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day
  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Share the running order, including any speeches
